I hail from a small California mining town, and came to San Diego to pursue my engineering career. While I still carry a bias towards the small-town lifestyle, I am slowly starting to adapt to the metropolitan life. When I retire I hope to move quieter (but not boring) place. In the meantime, I couldn't be happier with where I live and what I do for a living. It's hard to not like San Diego!
On the weekends, I like to go for a hike/run, or try a new restaurant or activity. When I'm alone, I often end up watching movies or playing games (or other nerdly activities). I'm trying to learn how to cook, because I have all of these mysterious kitchen appliances that look like they've never been used. It's tough going, so maybe you can help me out with that ;).

Meet someone special from United States. I moved to San Diego from Mississippi in July 2011 after completing 9 long years of college. I hear daily that I still have quite a southern accent. I love living here and can't imagine myself ever leaving. I am a happy person with a spontaneous spirit. I love being outside in the sun. I also enjoy staying in and cooking with a bottle of wine and chill music. I want to learn how to surf, scuba dive, and play tennis in the near future. I took up skydiving this year and am halfway done with the certification classes to be able to jump alone! I love to work out and stay active. I haven't traveled much yet due to school and work, but traveling is definitely on my upcoming list of things to do in life. Oh, and I have the coolest dog in the world:)
