Date people from San Anselmo, United States. I moved from Colorado (Vail) 3 yrs ago and still feel like I am in my N. CA honeymoon stage. If I had a regret it would be that I should have moved out here sooner.
There is nothing I enjoy more than a good laugh. Think that many of the worlds problems could be solved with a good laugh, a smile and some reggae. I am also really good at laughing at myself and try to do it with regularity!
I am a huge fan of the outdoors, whether it be riding, surfing, sailing, skiing or climbing but dont see myself as extreme in any of them. In fact I often look as forward to apres skiing (with the right group) as I do skiing.
I have two young daughters that are of course a big part of my life. They keep me on my toes and do a great job at keeping me in check.
I have been fortunate to have travelled a fair amount for work, pleasure as well as had some overseas living stints. So travel is in the blood and at some point I want to live big chunks of the year outside of the US.
So the right gal for me has to be adventurous, comfortable in her skin yet not full of herself, love to travel, spontaneous, open to new things and most of all have a great smile and love to use it with frequency.
Things that probably dont work for me: if you watch Fox News, drive an Escalade, had your last two vacations in Vegas and have taken 90% of your profile pics with an iPhone and a mirror. To each there own, just dont want to waste your time :-)
Like many, this is crazy unchartered territory for me (online) but I am keeping an open mind to it and hope to, at the very least make some great connections in the process and to have one of those connections change my life....
Other things that define me: eternal optimist (sometimes to a fault?), I am a kid at heart and any chance I get to act like one is jumped at (fam/friends will vouch for this), trusting, strong personality, risk taker, endorphin junkie, great listener when its real communication and not small talk, insanely sarcastic, great relationship/friendship with my folks who are unfortunately a coast away (NY-VT), did I say my daughters?? that I am an incredibly lucky guy, should drive a Prius but drive a Land Cruiser (purchasing carbon offsets help me sleep:), voted most likely to be a golden retriever by my friends, I have a love hate relationship with technology........
Other things I love: Chocolate, flourless chocolate cake, any other dessert with chocolate in it (seeing the thread?), people watching, I enjoy cooking but not great so looking for good match/partner in this category, rainy days in bed, my moon roof North Face tent, no cell coverage, playing hooky from work, full moon surfing, comedy clubs (Throckmorton on Tues), favorite worn in t-shirt, Lucky Jeans, a good hugger, smell/taste of bacon, occasional debauchery, swapping showers for salt water, Taylor Swift kitchen dance parties with my daughters, music luv it always and loud, known to start DJing at a party when the tunes are bunk. Have a genre for everytime of day/mood.... Roadtripping is Tom Petty/Counting Crows, Dinner Prep is Franti/Steel Pulse, Eating is Coltrane, Sunday breakfast on patio (w/kids) is Jack Johnson/Ben Harper, late night work is Tommy Guerrero/Alicia Keyes, cocktail hour is Zero 7, grinding up a hill (and out of earshot of children) is Eminem/anything rap-like. And oh yeah think the creator of Pandora should be prayed to daily.
Meet people from San Anselmo, United States. About me:
I poke people for a living and I'm one of the few people I know who really loves being at work...it's a unique career in medicine that challenges my mind every day and opens my heart. IРІР‚в„ўm also an explorer with an insatiable wanderlust. I've traveled the world (45 countries and counting), lived overseas, enjoy learning about different cultures and people, and continue to look for ways to leave this planet a better place than I found it. And IРІР‚в„ўm a devoted mother enjoying the journey of co-parenting two delightful girls who bring me much joy and insight into what I still need to work on in this lifetime.
I thrive in the great outdoors and nature. Favorite activities include mountain and road biking, skiing, surfing (warm water, yes I'm a wimp), climbing, yoga, hiking and camping-and I'm a fairly decent tennis partner when my serve is on. I also appreciate creative photography and art, music that makes you move or think, gardening and healthy food and I incorporate all into my daily living. San Francisco was home for a decade, and also Boston, LA, Paris, and many other great spots so IРІР‚в„ўm part urban gal and appreciate all the city has to offer--which is why I recently moved back to the Bay Area from Colorado. And I've always wanted to learn to salsa in case you like to dance. I also live to laugh and I think Jon Stewart is brilliant (would you be jealous if I told you I have a crush on him?)
My friends would describe me as silly, smart, charismatic, positive, reliable and thoughtful. My glass is always half full. They would also tell you I'm a great cook, I turn up my stereo really loud, my profile photos don't do me justice (hey, they're all I have) and I mountain bike mainly because it gives me a good excuse to drink beers with friends after a ride :)
About you:
You are self-assured, yet humble enough to laugh at yourself and make me laugh- preferably often! You work hard and enjoy your profession but still have time for your friends and your hobbies. You are intelligent and educated, but consider yourself a lifetime student. You are well-traveled and still yearn for new experiences with a dynamic partner. You are soulful and know how to look inward.
You are an outdoorsman. You are physically fit, but not solely a gym guy -you prefer to play outside for exercise. YouРІР‚в„ўre a hopeless romantic and a sensual lover, but also practical and have learned a few lessons about relationships through your experiences in love and loss.
I believe I have all the qualities I am seeking in you. OK, well maybe I'm not so handy with a power drill!
Please email me (no winks) if you consider yourself intelligent, playful, creative and perhaps an old soul. Don't be shy...
