I enjoy watching sports and attending Cal sports. Go Bears! I'm a huge baseball fan. Going to A's and Giants games and getting a beer and a hot dog is one of life's simple pleasures.
I truly enjoy dining out with good company. I also enjoy trying out my cullinary skills at home am always willing to try new things once. Sushi is my favorite food but I enjoy all types of ethnic cuisines. Sashimi is awesome but I do wish we that poke (I know some of you know what this is) was more readily available.
I'm alright hanging out and being at home watching tv or a dvd but it's nice to get out. I love watching movies and its great to go out and get a couple of drinks once in a while. Another thing I actually like to do and don't have a problem being honest and admitting it is that I enjoy shopping. The mall can be a great outlet after a stressful day at work.

What about me? I hate lies. The fact is many people on this site still quite enjoy doing it for their personal reasons (? I guess). They lie about age, height, photos, even marriage status – I don’t get it and have no idea what is the fun part of playing these, but I guess each of us has the right to choose what to be and what not to be.
I am honest and straightforward. I too focused on my career in the early years; it somehow affected my first marriage in an negative way. I learned from lessons, career is definitely no longer on my top priority. But this doesn’t mean that I don’t like my job. I have been working in the hospitality more than 20 years, and I still love it. Since last year, I stepped down to a more junior position – less pressure (or zero pressure I must say), much more personal time, regular office hours (I work from Mon to Fri, 8-5), just to allow myself to smell the roses along the road – life is too short to be alone.
My background: I grew up in China and later lived in Colorado for 7 years (I am American citizen, so I am not looking for a РІР‚?green cardРІР‚в„ў.) With life experience on both the east and west sides of the earth, I am able to balance myself between different cultures after all these years. I relocated to the bay area early 2011 and am now working in downtown SF. And yes, I love what I am doing and take pride in my job. There is so much to see and to explore in the bay area. I love travel and have been to many beautiful places in the U.S. , Canada and Asia. My next stop will be Europe or South America. I also enjoy road trips very much or short trips on the weekends. I love museums, music (classic and jazz), movies, dancing, bowling, swimming, badminton, or simply chatting over a glass of wine. When the weather is good, I enjoy long walks in the mountain or along the beach. I enjoy dining out in nice restaurants (no fast food please), also good cooking in the kitchen (especially when it is something spicy :)).
I have a successful career and am financially secure and stable. I am an outgoing girl with a very happy character - always smiling and I just love to laugh - loud. I am kind of 'down to earth', very easy to be with (I may get serious at work, but most of my former employees are still my friends today so you can tell I am not hard to deal with). Then I understood. However, I will not go there because I like to keep a positive outlook that there is more than one person for everyone (not at the same time, of course). Most people experience many a heartbreak. Guess I try to learn from it and make the best of my newfound knowledge. I spend a lot of my time in kitchens, so I try to take every opportunity possible to get out onto dirt, sand water. Nature offers myriad sources of interest and ponderings for me. Each sunrise and sunset is as unique and glorious as each new storm. Kayaking and geologic explorations fill me with new levels of serenity and wonder every time. I wish the settings here allowed for more than one odd type. I went with "about average," but my hiking keeps me fit, while my cooking keeps me curvy, LOL!

I'm really great at cooking, ordering wine (though I'm good in a beer crowd, too), issuing sass (hee!), dancing to 80s and 90s music, and discussing world history and philosophy over a Rhone or White Russian after a cooking shift. Before cooking school, I majored in both geology and world history until the bottom dropped out of government funding. I have 3/4 of a B.A. in both majors.
Things I could use some help with: shooting a cue correctly, pitching not like a girl, and finding a decent replacement for Jazz at Pearl's.

I'm also a part-time parent.
