In addition to wanting to help make the world a better place, I have a playful and adventurous spirit. Some of my experiences include studying dance in Cuba and volunteering to build houses for Habitat for Humanity in Mexico. I began dancing at very young age and later became a gymnast. The discipline of a gymnast life style and the love of dance has stuck with me. I continue to eat well and do calisthenics and dance on a regular basis.
I enjoy the simple pleasures in life and find happiness in every day things. Something as simple as walking to the library or snuggling up to watch a movie brings me joy. I am not very materialistic and find it very satisfying to find cool, barely used clothing at Thrift Town. I also get a lot of pleasure out of making home made gifts and cooking for loved ones.
I love life and I am grateful for every day I have. I am the type of person that sees the glass as half full. My spiritual beliefs have been formed by a variety of influences including Buddhism and metaphysics. I truly believe in the Buddhist wisdom of "turning poison into medicine". While my divorce was very painful, I realized early on that I would learn and grow and become even more conscious by going through that experience.
I have been single for about 3 years and I've come to a place where I am ready to meet that special someone. I have a very full, enjoyable life with loving, supportive friends and family members, but there is nothing like having a loving partner by your side. I like to start slow and have fun while getting to know someone. My ultimate goal is to have a lifelong monogamous partnership that is built on friendship, trust, play, intimacy, mutual support, and integrity.
I am a full-time mother of a 6 year old boy, who is very enthusiastic and energetic. My son's father lives out of state, so I don't have to deal with the possible challenges that can come with co-parenting with an X. I have parenting support that allows me to have a personal, adult life outside my "mommy life". I can even do romantic getaways :-), but my "special someone" loves children and understands it's a package deal.
