I am an open book. I think it's important to be honest with yourself as well as with those around you. There's no sense in running from your past or from who you are. Of course, as with a lot of people, I'm shy when you are first getting to know me. That tends to fade pretty quick and you'll soon realize I'm a big dork at heart and like to have fun.
With that said, you're probably wondering what I consider fun. Well, as I'm typing this, I'm watching the Packers game. I enjoy watching football and mostly every other sport besides baseball. Besides sports, I also love country music. If you want to hang with me, you have to be a fan of country music or at least be able to tolerate it enough to not want to jump out of the car while I'm blasting it and singing along. I also find the outdoors/camping fun. My parents used camping as a way to build close relationships and I thank them for that because my family would not be as close as they are if not for those experiences.
Family is the most important thing to me. Without their guidance and support, I wouldn't be where I am today. I have been through and will continue to go through many obstacles in my life and they have been there to help me every step of the way. So, I'll just give you a heads up now. I am physically disabled. I have a rare form of muscular dystrophy that has been a part of my life since age 5. Everyday is a struggle, but I do my best to live life with the cards I've been dealt. As a kid, I used to wonder, "why me"?, but as I've grown up, I've learned that this disability has shaped me into the unique and strong minded person that I am today. I'm pretty awesome if I do say so myself.
So, what am I looking for in a guy? Someone that is understanding and compassionate towards other people. Someone that isn't afraid to embrace his dorky side or any flaws he may have. It's important that he has a sense of where his life is going and has the motivation to get there. Oh, and he has to be able to make me laugh. After coming home from my job, I need a laugh. So, if you think you're up for the challenge that is me, I'll gladly accept.
