Date a man from Brisbane, United States. I am here from New York just long enough ago that I feel like a SF native. I am a bit of a non-conformist and have little patience for pretense, pseudoscience, paranormal phenomena, phonies, flakes or football. I'm bright, articulate and many say intense. I value understanding things more than knowing things and I value caring about things more than achieving lots of things. I am a cautious, thorough thinker, very much committed to helping people without rescuing them. I am intelligent but my education has not been in traditional institutions. I currently live on the peninsula but I am in the process of building my dream home in West Marin. Right now, my son is at the center of my life. But the time is fast approaching that I think I need to shift my focus away from him and develop my own social life for his good as well as for mine. In that direction, I am open to theater, symphony, the occasional good movie that comes up and in town dining. Outside of those, I prefer the country to the city, the outdoors over the indoors, home as opposed to being out. I do enjoy travel, have my own plane and would some day like to sail around the world. For now, I limit myself to a couple of ski trips in the winter and vacation trips in the summer.I seek a woman who is not afraid to question things and willing to be questioned herself.
