There are many things I can do for fun. I love to spend some quiet time at the mountains/nature in general. I am a creative, independent, smart, adventurous woman. I spent my twenties moving all over the place, experiencing people, places and ideas. I spent my 30's in a monogamous relationship that really helped me become a better person to myself and taught me how to compromise and share and understand the benefits of two vs. one. Now on the cusp of my 40's , I'm really excited to see what this decade is going to bring! I moved to Tucson in September of 2011 and am just beginning to explore this area. I'm content to be a date, companion and friend and I am open for that to develop into something more. I am not in a hurry to settle down but I'm also not interested in a one night stand or nude modeling (yikes!).
If you are still interested, here are a few things to help you loose it ;-):
-Be prepared for honesty from me. As I am getting to know you I may say something or ask a question about something that isn't what you want to hear. What I like to get in return is a conversation with a mature, honest adult about what may not be your favorite subject. What I often get is an infantile ego quickly lashing back and slamming the dialogue closed and that is a buzz kill. You know who you are and I'm that girl who you aren't successful with so lets not bother going any further than this paragraph.
-Do you shop at Big Box Mart and eat fast food most meals? I'm fully not into fast crap culture and I don't even want to get to know you if that is a major part of your lifestyle.
-There seems to be a trend towards men my age who just stopped evolving after their formal education stopped: Same music, same clothes, same haunts, same everything. I haven't lost interest in evolving, learning and growing and I appreciate someone who hasn't either.
- Dirty men, not dirty from work, but dirty from lazy are a huge turn off. I think being dirty and disorganized says alot more about who you are than you think.
- A profile picture is worth a thousand words for sure. If you are wearing a cross and hugging your mom I will be frightened. If you are in a lazy boy kissing your dog I will question your intellect. If you are half naked in your bathroom taking a picture of yourself in your mirror I will laugh really hard. If you are shooting a gun or drinking a beer I will assume you are an alcoholic or a Republican.
- No addicts. No "casual" drug users. No stoners. No steroids. No prescription drug addicts. No TV addicts. No porn addicts. Not even those "working on it". Yes, sommelier. Yes, mixologist. Yes, someone with a fun and maybe even sordid history. Yes, holiday relaxers and experimenters. Yes to occasional or artistic visual stimulation. Yes to open minds and endless possibilities. No to routine and ruts and addictions.
If you are STILL reading and haven't been inspired to start spamming evil emails to me to tell me how wrong I am for what ever it is that I have said to offend you then lets talk and do something! I love outdoor sports of all sorts and the regulars like coffee and bars and restaurants, movies, art galleries, whatever. Lets take off for the ocean or the mountains! I love to road trip and go camping or exploring with the right company. I have recently set some financial goals for myself which means I don't have very much disposable income for the foreseeable future. I'm OK with that because there are plenty of fun, inexpensive things to do out there. If you ask me out and are comfortable covering the costs, I will graciously accept interesting invites. If you have a great laugh, if you can and like to read, if you are okay with a girl who wears overalls sometimes, if you believe in the unknown, if you have yummy broad shoulders, if you love music, if you want to high five and go swimming and play basketball and are not grossed out by bare feet sometimes then maybe we are the right company for each other!

Meet someone special from United States. I am very driven and focused on my goals and I can't sit still! I am looking for someone who also has ambition and drive, gets out there and goes for it! I have two kids, a son who is 9 and a daughter who is 7, and I decided to go back to school and finish up my PhD. What was I thinking!? It's a tough road but we're making it happen. One more year to go! I'm studying organic hydroponic greenhouse crop production (tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers) and disease resistance using compost and compost tea. I'm in the process of starting up a greenhouse business in here in Tucson, as well as heading up 2 charter schools. Yes, go ahead and ask me how this figures in together and I will explain. All I can say is I have been planning to start a charter school (middle/high school) for YEARS and just recently found an awesome team of talented people to work with and we are making it happen! I am sooooo excited. Teaching/education and sustainable agriculture are my passions but I am not really a tree-hugger type (well I do shop at Whole Foods sometimes!).
Being that I am constantly writing papers and doing research, and swimming with the kids, or going to Peter Piper for games (I love playing Time Crisis with my son!), what do I do for fun? Well, back in the day I was kind of a punk rocker, hair over one side of my face, dyed burgandy, worked as an intern at a radio station, and really got into 80's rock, new wave etc. I didn't get paid except in CD's and concert tickets so even today I like to see live music and I have some friends in a local band. I like to go to movies, sit in a coffee shop and talk, play pool and darts (but don't get out to do that too often anymore). I like to go skiing, although I;m not very good at it, but I like to get cold and come in and sit by the fireplace and get warms and just smell the logs and the fire! (I don't want to live in the snow ever again though if I can help it). My favorite place in the world is DisneyWorld in Florida. I know it sounds cheesy but 1) it's so different than DIsneyland in CA. DisneyWorld is like it's own little world, it just makes you completely forget everything else and have fun! And I LOVE EPCOT, I guess that's the geek in me, but also the Land Pavillion is where I first learned about hydroponics and decided to get a PhD in it!
