I'll admit my friends are a little lavish with their praise, so here's me in my OWN words:
I'm a type A personality, but pretty laid back. I know that seems like an oxymoron, but it really exists. I'm persistent, confidant and know what I want. I'm the type of person who plans things out in detail before I do them, then gets up early each morning to work on making them real in my life.
Work and my personal goals are a big part of who I am.
As mentioned I'm fairly laid back. I enjoy hiking the trails here in phoenix, as well as going to the lake when I'm able to scam my friends into taking me on their boat. I REALLY enjoy wine tasting and lets be honest here - just wine in general. Big fan of reds. I LOVE sushi, and my favorite food of all time is grilled cheese and tomato soup. If that didn't just make you hungry... don't even contact me. I'm serious.
Even though that last paragraph may give you the impression I'm an overweight workaholic who is also a lush, I'm very into fitness and taking care of my health. I eat mostly organic food's during the week except for the weekend, which of course is when I fall off the horse and it's then pizza and frozen oreos. Or M&Ms. But they must be frozen.
I read at least one new book a week, usually about psychology, sales or finances. I don't read fiction. Anyway I'm good with people, don't bite (usually), and currently work as a Mortgage Banker in Scottsdale. This is my third year living in Arizona.
I'm really not ready for a serious relationship right now. I am however open to meeting new friends, and seeing where that goes. So here's the questions to ask yourself.
Do you have serious goals for yourself, besides just hitting the next shoe sale at Nordstroms? Do you know how to relax and have fun? Are you emotionally mature like I am at least twice a week? (some would argue about my emotional maturity).

Date single man from Arizona, United States. Alright, who am I and what am I looking for... Easy! ;-) Well, I'll start by saying I feel like I'm a pretty normal guy. I'm born and raised in Phoenix, and with exception of a few brief stints elsewhere, I've been here most of my life. I guess its a good thing I love it here! I've been very fortunate to grow up in a big family, with plenty of opportunities for education, travel, and a strong community presence the whole time. I've had a handful of serious romantic relationships in my past (some I remember more fondly than others), but now, after 34 solid years of getting to know myself, I'm ready to move forward with a special woman to share the rest of them with.
I work in medicine, and feel like its the best job in the world, maybe falling just short of being the guy who invented the iPhone. Everyday I have multiple opportunities to do something great for someone in need, AND I get paid for it!! Seriously though, its an honor and a privilege, and I've never forgotten that. This is my second career now, but its looking like I'm gonna roll with this one for a while.
I love to travel, for any reason really. Obviously, fun vacations leap to mind, but some of my favorite trips have been for an entirely different purposes, like medical relief missions in the third world or the months long backpack trips in far off places where they care little about whats going on in the mind of this seasons Bachelorette. Travel is good for the soul, and I do it whenever possible.
What else can I tell you? I'm a bit complex at times, and can be very simple at others. I hate regrets, but must admit to a few in my time. I have an opinion on most things, usually the correct one... ;-) As far as match.com, I am really just looking for a new way to meet someone special. I'm not the kind of guy to cruise the "bar scene", and I'm not going to interrupt your work out or yoga session to tell you how great your quads are looking today. I'm also of the belief that romantic relationships at work only work in the movies, and even then, not so much. I've known a few friends who have met and married people thru it, so I figured why not match.com?! I think my online dating experiment is about done. I have been so unsuccessful that i actually browsed mens profiles to see what i could possibly be doing wrong. And i did not think theirs were any better then mine. I would say i have gotten maybe 2 responses from people i have actually tried to initiate contact with. I even spend a good deal of time on my emailsl so they are not too long but show that i am actually paying attention to what you said and not cutting and pasting. I will even save my green email and use that so i dont get lost in the mailbox. I really just wanted somebody to talk to and maybe make some memories in the nearish future. But it is getting really disheartening to always come in to an empty inbox. I got about 3 weeks left, maybe ill get lucky.

Bottom line is, there are some things that I should disclose before you write back or you wink at me. I work for the defense department. Due to the nature of my work, I typically work in third world countries. Presently I am working in Afghanistan. I love what i do and its very fulfilling, however, I'm away from the US. So, if we are going to "match", its going to have to be incredibly old fashioned with lots of getting to know one another before we would actually meet. This will not be possible until May. Okay as if that were not enough, if you are not incredibly patient and incredibly adventurous/borderline nuts this probably will not be your brand of Vodka. In May when i take holiday I will be splitting my time between Vegas and Spain. Now, let me be the first to say that I travel really well. I think that's pretty much it. I am all about transparency and disclosure. So, if you are still interested in getting to know someone that you will not be able to meet for like 4 months and if you are adventurous enough to accept that if were we to meet it would likely have be in Vegas or Spain, then please continue reading.
