I would describe myself as laid back, kinda nerdy, quick witted, good but morbid sense of humor, easily amused, intelligent, middle of the road politically.
I am a fan of science fiction and horror. I collect comics such as The New 52's Batman and Catwoman, Angel and Faith, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. My ideal movies are usually films like Prometheus, Cabin in the Woods, Drag Me to Hell and Army of Darkness. Though I do occasionally step out of the genre and have enjoyed movies like Rock of Ages (Great 80's music and Tom Cruise was fantastic) and Snow White and the Huntsman (Kristen Stewart can't act).
I like 80's rock music, heavy metal, classic rock. I have gone to UFest and do enjoy going to most concerts. I dislike country music -- with the exception of a few songs, I really really really really dislike Country Music.
I like bands like the Butcher Babies(look them up and you'll know why I like them), My Darkest Days, The Pretty Reckless, Gun N Roses, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Alice Cooper.

I've always found it funny how it is that we see ourselves so differently than how others see us. There should be some personal perception score. What would THAT test be like?
They say I'm a bit complicated. I don't feel that way. I've always felt pretty comfortable having different interests and different kinds of friends. I grew up in two different cultures (Romanian/American) so maybe that has something to do with it. I lived in NYC for 8 years and loved it but I missed nature and Arizona. I'm equally comfortable dressing up for the theater and attending a swank cocktail party as I am backpacking 20 miles and making a fire out in the mountains. I am a musician and teacher and small business owner here in Phoenix. Music is my first love but I have many other interests. My imagination is pretty active as am I. There are so many things and places to explore in this life and I am excited to do and see... and in lieu of saying all kinds of nonsensical things about what kind of person I am (Grandma said to never talk about yourself!) I'll add a fun fact: I've been best man 3 times. (lol yes for 3 different friends!)
It's difficult to make a short list when thinking of traits that I would like to have in a woman but here goes in no particular order:
Intelligence. Which of course can take many forms. Emotional intelligence is sexy. As is street smarts and social intelligence. Conversational skills are hot. I think humor is definitely a form of intelligence. Yes please.
Physically active. Not freaked out if we go to a last minute tango dance class or hike up Camelback or maybe even a yoga class. I'm not a couch potato. Which is not to say that I don't like to curl up on the couch on a Sunday afternoon with a good book or movie. Which reminds me I miss the rain...
Creative/spiritual/political life. Something please. Career-driven sure, but there is so much in life to be curious about and explore. A generous, confident heart out in the world. I value getting involved.
This one is tricky and I don't quite know how to say it. I have fishing buddies that have hardly ever left Arizona but I don't think I'd like to date one. I lived in Europe for 3 years playing and studying and was blessed to travel a bunch. And it goes hand in hand with culture-like appreciating good food and drink and art and music and movies and books. But I'm not a snob and love a beer and a good ballgame and God bless rednecks!

I'm kind of a science geek, however I maintain balance with other interests like climbing and anything involving water. I enjoy mountain biking; physical fitness is really important to me. On my down time, I've recently been practicing (not really playing, yet) the guitar. I play some video games, but on any given week, I spend more time at the gym. I stay busy with work, but am looking to find someone interesting enough to go do exciting and new things with but also enjoy the simple relaxing moments as well. I have sky dived, scuba dived, skied/snow boarded, white water rafted, and numerous other things, but what I enjoy the most is sitting on the porch with friends and drinking a beer or two. I love baseball but played football and water polo throughout the years.
