I guess you could say I am the creative type. I am a classically trained pianist and have played since I was a little girl. I've lived in the South my entire life and I love it! I've travelled a good bit with my job and also just on vacation. I too have had issues with on-line dating. Men are NEVER athletic and fit; they always have a spare tire around their waist. Or they have posted a picture of a model, their son or who knows where the photo came from. Men are never the tall, dark, handsome and sensitive man they advertise to be. I’ve walked into Starbuck’s looked around, called his name out and he responded “Here I am”, I turn and be frightened clear out of my skin. I’d try to contain my composure because he would be the ugliest man I have ever met. Talk about horror stories!
So, back to my question, “Why is all this happening?”
As we get older our hormone level drops. Yes, even for men. Hormones plays a huge part of the dating ritual when we are young; however when hormones fall we are left without a key ingredient which is critical in attraction.
For mature adults, 45 we must be realistic in our approach to seeking long term relationships. Now if you’re not looking for a long term relationship and just looking for sexual encounters you’re on the wrong site for that. Men may find a few women who will fit the bill, but normally these women believe they should date as they did when in their late teens, but these women are rudely awakened to realize without hormones to further connections, men eventually tire of this sexual encounter and move on in search of a “true” connection.
