Being a designer, my home and property are important to me. My work is rewarding partially because it allows me to enrich the lives of others while being an outlet for what seems to be an endless supply of creativity. I love doing projects around the house and yard together as well as just listening to the rain on the metal roof, putting out corn then watching the deer and wild turkey graze in the front yard or enjoying a good movie cuddled up with you. Day to day life seems more complete with at least one fourlegged companion somewhere in the picture, most likely curled up with us.
A fun time might include grilling with friends, playing cards, taking in a concert, going to auctions, spending the day junking and antiquing or discovering hidden treasures perhaps overlooked by another. To me, a walk along the water, fixing a meal together, taking a road just because we haven't been down it before be it in a car or a giant 4x4, on a motorcycle or on horseback (a bit rusty on the last three but would enjoy either again) and singing songs along with the radio are some simple enjoyments.
I am a positive, self motivated person. My life could be described by some as having been too focused on work. I might agree and during the last several years many changes have helped me come to understand that no matter how much two people are driven and seem to have the same goals, honest communication is essential to maintain the relationship and it is the relationship itself that is paramount. Getting to any goal should be a journey where you both work hard, strengthening each other along the way. Weither you reach it or not is much less important than building and nurturing the togetherness that working closely with each other should bring.
I like to learn about new things and enjoy reading,going to a seminar,watching documentaries,HGTV,nova,animal planet and shows about traveling.I would like be with someone who could enjoy taking trips,perhaps do some "glamping" as it is called.I am a planner and though I don't mind an occassional spur of the moment outing,I much prefer to do the research,discuss it and then make the arrangements to do something.

Ok here goes.... The type of guy I am attracted / interested in - A man who is truly a christian and tries to live his life accordingly. Not perfect (as none of us are) but one who lives with respect to God and His Word. Someone that has a great and positive attitude who likes to laugh, smile, just have fun and has a good sense of humor. Easy to hold a conversation with and communicate with (yeah, I know that's stretching it). Lol A guy who is honest by nature and knows it is the right thing to do (and wants the same in return). He is confident, yet not arrogant. He feels good about his success and the accomplishments he has acheived, yet is not a controlling type person. He is the type that takes care of himself and has pride in his appearance. A man that knows how important family and genuine friends really are. He doesn't take the things he has or people for granted. In fact, he enjoys doing nice things for others, without benefiting or expecting anything in return, because of his compassionate nature. He enjoys life and realizes that we are not guaranteed another day. Someone who loves to travel, listen to music, and dance. A man who knows the kind of girl he wants and cherish her once he has found her, just as he should be cherished too! A soft and passionate kiss, for no reason at all, can be an amazing moment...don't you think?
If you use drugs, drink excessively, are hot tempered, very insecure, not being truthful about your age, single (completely) status and photos do not look like you, (you get the picture), we would not be a match. . I am proud to be "SouthernBorn". I enjoy life in general & try to make the most of where I am "right now". My family & friends are the best part of my life. I can have fun with a "group of people" or be very, very content at home or "one on one". I can intermingle with most any social crowd, but love the t-shirt/shorts/jeans simple, but priceless times. I work hard & have my entire life & take care of myself. Away from the job, I thorougly enjoy my "down time". Like most people here, past relationships have been complicated or hurtful....until this point, life hasn't turned out exactly the way I dreamed. My theory of that: everything that happened in the past brought me to where I am right now. So I will enjoy the "fall of my life" & hopefully with a companion. I want to be accepted as I am. Remember: "A friend knows all about you & loves you anyway".
