Date someone special from Auburn, United States. I am a Southern Belle with a twist. My friends describe me as outgoing, fun and independent. I am a happy confident person and comfortable in many settings. Exercising, traveling, any activity with friends or just sitting in front of the fire with a glass of wine makes me happy. I am straight up and will tell you if I do or do not like things. I do not want to play games.
Up to this point I have not been open to dating but now have decided it is the right time.
I was married for 27 years and divorced 2 years ago, relocated, bought my home and went to work. LOVE my job!!! Financially secure.
My children and I are very close. They are amazing, self supporting and very independent. I loved everything about rearing children, watching them learn about life and how to not make the same mistake twice:).The oldest lives 2 hours away and the other a few states away. Enouraging my family and friends to become all they can is a gift I have been told I have.
I would like to meet someone that has similiar interests, good family values and a great attitude..... Someone that embraces life, is hard working, active, honest and thoughtful. I will treat you with respect and expect the same from you. I love very deeply and completely.
I am uncomfortable connecting with people I do not know and will be cautious about who I meet. Meeting for coffee would be a good way to meet initially. I would like to meet someone ready to embrace life and all it offers. Are you interested?

Date a woman from Auburn, United States. If I’m not watching a volleyball tournament or Auburn football game or chasing that little white ball around the course (or more frequently the rough), you might find me digging in the dirt (I love to work in the yard) or working on small home remodeling projects. I’m by no means a pro, but I enjoy learning new skills. I’m just as comfortable with a drill, hammer and paint brush as I am with a frilly apron, cooking favorite recipes and entertaining a houseful of family and friends. These connections are important to me. Life is short – you need to laugh and enjoy those close to you. I can put on my faded jeans and rummage thru antique shops, laughing at memories that pop up from childhood. OK – come on! I’m not THAT old, but they do sell some stuff that's not antiques!! Or sometimes, that little black dress beckons me for a night out on the town for dinner and dancing. I’d love to learn to ballroom dance – how about it? I know I’d be laughing at myself, can you?
It only takes a second and my suitcase is packed for that spur of the moment road trip. I always enjoy climbing into the car, with picnic packed, and head towards (pick any city)…no hotel reservations, no time frame, no plans. Just stopping to explore anything and everything on the way – whatever looks interesting. You never know what adventure you’ll find when you’re not on a schedule!
I believe in old fashioned southern values – chivalry is not dead! So even if I can swing a hammer and use a drill, it’s still important that a man treats me like a lady, opening doors for me and pulling out my chair. Respect and honesty, both to yourself and others close to you, is important. I have a positive attitude towards life, work hard to achieve what I have, and try to enjoy life to the fullest. There’s still so much in this big world that I want to learn and explore. How about it? Does this sound good to you?
Meet someone special from Alabama, United States. Active. Graceful. Focused. Knowledgeable. Inquiring mind. Unique. Everything someone has experienced in life has contributed to who they are today. If you like that person, then how can you have regrets? If you don't like that person: change. I am one of the fortunate few who love their calling and happen to get paid for it. While I enjoy the work I do, the people I meet through work, and the coworkers/employees that it is my pleasure to know, inherent is a requirement for erratic hours/days/weeks. This is a good thing. It might seem counterintuitive, but I get substantial time off when others are working their 40 hour weeks. I am financially, emotionally, and physically independent; would expect the same in a friend/partner. Prefer compelling over attractive. Looking for a face with character that has seen the world and survived; someone who moves with grace, purpose, and athleticism; always at home in their own body. Meeting a friend/partner involves chemistry, rapport, and understanding with a little kismet thrown in for good measure. Choices have consequences. Free-will vs. predetermination. Fate? Why did a particular person cross your path? Why at that time in your life? Or at that time in their life?
