I have lived in the State of Alabama my whole life. However, I grew up in Southern Alabama and taught school for many years in Tuscaloosa. I now live in Montgomery and work for the Department of Education. My job keeps me very busy so it is hard to meet people.

I work with clay and it takes patience. I like the process making something from nothing. A ball of clay, its just mud, right, but when its shaped and formed and allowed to dry, it changes to something else but its still fragile so its fired in the kiln. Its getting stronger but still needs more so its glazed and and fired again and when all this process if finished you have a beautiful mug, bowl or plate. Now you really have something that can make your life easier or better and if its taken care of will last forever. Is that not just the life process simplified. Maybe I don't know...
I think people would describe me as a happy person who works very hard, takes care of her dearest friends and family with the devotion of a doberman and is never afraid of a challenge. I also have been told I smile a lot and I am unable to concentrate unless I am making a funny looking face.
What else is there... I like watching football, listening to music, movies, reading mystery novels, being outdoors and animals. I think there is a part of me adventurous enough try something new...I don't know what it is yet, but its a leap of faith I am willing to take.

If anything I leaned after 17 years of marriage, the relationship has to have balance. One can't be the taker and one always the giver-it just isn't healthy and ultimately, can be very damaging. A real relationship is a partnership and that is what I would look for more than anything else. Family means everything to me, even though I've lost several family members in an untimely way. Never a day goes by that they don't cross my mind.

I like to go out occasionally, but I do not smoke or drink, dancing is my thing. I was thinking about going back to school maybe at some point but for now I am content.......
