I love to laugh and make people laugh. I have a demanding job but I maintain a good balance between work life and home life. (I do what I do to be able to afford doing the things I really enjoy doing) Did I use enough "dos" in that parenthetical? LOL
I think of my life as being rather diverse. I work in the high tech industry but I enjoy the simpler things of life like hikes in the mountains, sunrises and sunsets, companionship of dogs and horses, cooking/grilling, photography of nature, and the roar of the ocean. I totally love Bavaria and Austria!
I love both new adventures and well as just hanging out in familiar comfortable surroundings. New things I'd like to do with a partner: snowshoe, snow mobile, art painting/wine night, fly to San Francisco for dinner, explore tropical islands, try new restaurants, cook new foods, explore new trails and find hidden lakes, streams and vistas, more horseback riding, learn to play a hammered dulcimer, get a new dog, etc.
New places that I'd like to travel to: New Zealand, the Caribbean, Barcelona, Cinque Terra, Tuscany, the Matterhorn, Scandinavia, South Pacific, Costa Rica, Key West, Mexico, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, and the handful of US States that I have not yet been to especially Alaska and Hawaii.

I have been told to add to this so I will. I can take direction. Countries I have been too, lived in OZ, 18 months)Hawaii ( 4 years)and Italy for 6 weeks. India 5 times, Mexico, Canada, Mauritius, points if you know where that is. Honk Kong and Malaysia, Spain, England and Ireland. At a point , I do not know if this is bragging or information. I have baggage all over the world.
Love to hike and bike. Used to golf quite a bit but would rather be more active now. Used to love to swim and tried to surf, great sport, but was injured so I cannot swim as far. Love the water,especially Hawaii and enjoy the Bahamas but I am a western boy and look west not east.

My life has been about exploring the heart and helping others do the same. Life is a journey and I am enjoying mine, my companion will know how to enjoy her life and then we can share the best of two worlds. I do not depend on the world to make me happy and that includes my companion, who wants that responsibility anyway. As I told a friend, he said his job was to make his wife happy, after 4 wives, I asked him how that was working out.

So far, Colorado has always been my base.. I've never completely relocated to the western slope, but always thought about it. I grew up skiing/ camping in Colorado and degreed in Physics at C.U. By working in industry through my twenties, I realized my greatest joys in my my life occurred when I was on extended alpinist expeditions - Mexico, Peru, Columbia. I spent the next decade outdoor ed/wilderness guiding full time (Colorado, Utah, Az, Alaska-mostly institutional but some private) and traveling to places including New Zealand .... great experiences!
Then I returned to town seeking more continuity in friendships and purposefulness ...I worked in various capacities: for an alternative health- focused startup, a few nonprofits and in various construction roles as well. I compromised my lower back while paddling so now I focus on the "nature" aspect more than the adrenaline - but I'm still game:) but have stopped alpine...The "deep wild" is still my muse - it fits my INFP side ... still I love meeting new people and learning their stories (and tell a few myself if I'm in the mood - my double Leo side... grin).
Currently I work a mix of handyman/ construction jobs and 4 years ago started a small "farm to garden" movement delivering amendments to gardeners and sell compost tea on Sat at the farmers market in Boulder. It's just so great being outside (and working with people that love being outside) so much of the time!
I can be a thoughtful , sometimes cautious, sometimes impulsive idealist; always interested in learning.Currently I am enjoying an esoteric study group on higher knowledge and also one in spirituality.
