Date men and women from United States / Colorado / Boulder, 39 year old

Date a man from Boulder, United States. I have never tried an online dating website before, but thought I would give it a shot because I have heard that lightening can strike. Looking for someone to share life's experiences with. Love anything outdoors including skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and live music. You can never have a bad time at Red Rocks, my favorite concert venue. I enjoy the bar and restaurant scenes but also have skills in the kitchen. I enjoy traveling and trying new things.
Please don't "wink" or email if you do not have a picture posted in your profile.

Meet someone special from Boulder, United States. I'm a really good catch with a PR problem -- I should fire my publicist. Oh wait, I don't have a publicist. . .Hmmm, this explains a lot. Well then, I guess I'm going to have to do this myself. . . .
Top 10 Reasons Why I'm a Good Catch:
10. I can eat A LOT. For some reason, women seem to be impressed by my circus-freakshow-like feats of gluttony. I can and will finish my meal and then proceed to finish yours, if you want me to. Not impressed? Well, I'm a total wimp when it comes to dessert, you can have mine.
9. I age well, so I tend to look a good 6 or 7 years younger than I am -- So when I'm 97, I'll look like I'm only 90, 91 tops. I know, I know, I'm so lucky -- Yeah, it was fun trying to date in college, when I looked like I was 12.
8. I'm very honest. This one could actually go either way, actually, which is why it's only #8. I used to be (in)famous in grad school for my bouts of unsolicited honesty. The good news is that I am now more discrete about expressing my honesty.
7. I dress well, but not *too* well. I may wear a shirt you like, but you will likely find something you can change or improve upon -- Yes, this is exactly what I want, someone to change me (at least, when it comes to the diapers I'll have to wear when I'm 107, again the good news is that I'll look like I'm only 100).
6. I like to laugh. This too should, ostensibly, be ranked better than a mere #6, except that I should say that my preference is to laugh *with* but unfortunately that's not always possible and well, like I said, I like to laugh.
5. I am completely and totally sane -- I discussed it with the voices in my head and the consensus is that I'm perfectly normal, it's the rest of the world that's crazy (except for you, you are also perfectly sane).
4. I am good with small children -- We understand each other. And if/when things get really out of control, I am sure I can throw a bigger tantrum than any of them, and then they will have to play the part of the mature person.
3. I am smarter than everyone else. If anyone should dare to disagree with this statement of obvious fact, it would only go to show how sadly mistaken that puny-brained simpleton really is.
2. I do have a serious/compassionate side and should we meet, you may get a chance to see it.
1. This space is left intentionally blank (for you to fill in later)
For starters, I'd like to meet someone who won't immediately assume I'm conceited just because I'm so smart, successful, and good-looking -- Come on, that's something that should be decided much later on! But seriously, at the most basic level, I'm looking for someone who has her act together but doesn't take herself too seriously, this is really so essential.
Oh yeah, I feel compelled to add this addendum:
People are extremely fit here, so if you describe yourself as "About average" I'm going to expect you to be pretty fit. If you describe yourself as "Athletic and toned" I'm gonna expect toned -- And you should expect the same of me. But as a general rule, even if both are pretty unlikely, if it's more likely that you'd wear Mom jeans, as opposed to skinny jeans, we may become friends but a relationship is pretty unlikely.

Date a soulmate from Boulder, United States. I am a laid back person who makes the best of what life has to offer. I am looking for someone who likes to be active. I like to get out and do many different things, whether it's a hike in the flatirons, mountain biking, skiing, going out to eat, catching a movie or seeing live music. I'd like to find someone who's intelligent, funny, out-going but also easy-going to share my life and experiences with.

Meet people from Boulder, United States. I have to admit online dating can a bit boring and it at times feels like shopping for new sneakers - lots of choices but only a few feel right. I have a friend who met his wife on this site and they are pretty happy and I'm a guy who likes to try most things at least once.
My friends would describe honest, funny and creative. I own an industrial culinary design company that also consults chefs with their business'. Photography, snowboarding, surfing, camping, soccer and making art are what I do in my free time. I always have a fridge filled with Ben and Jerry's and immediately restock it after a dinner party.
I appreciate an artsy girl who also likes to play outside. Someone who is considerate, likes to laugh and even be silly. I like to travel, sometimes even spontaneously. A lightly packed girl equates to a little less drama.
I love to cook so a girl who knows her wines is a bonus.

Meet men and women from Boulder, United States. When I was a child I was in Boy Scouts, it was a very active group. We went camping every other weekend, year round. Then we would take one long trip of 10-15 days and one small trip of 5-7 days every year. I have always worked for myself doing real estate investment. Im not a broker! I have always done it for myself or private investors. I love to get out in social situations where I can meet new people. I grew up on Pearl street, people watching. I love to just watch people I was a Psychology major in college. I enjoy meeting new people. I am looking for someone I can enjoy Boulder with. I worked on a horse ranch as a teenager and love horses. I have never done anything like this but wanted to give it a try to meet some new people in Boulder. I am very independent and feel as though I can do anything I put my mind to. I am very close to my family, and spend a lot of time visiting and caring for my 91 year old Grandmother.
My wife of 5 years and together for 18 years left me. She became to frustrated with the process I had to go through with my back. It took a number of doctors two years to figure out that I had a 5 out of 5 tear on my S1L5 disc. I had surgery about 3 years ago and spend most of my time now trying to get strong again. I am looking for someone that I can become friends until or if we feel the next step is warranted. I have two identical twin sisters who have 7 kids. One had twins herself. I work by myself and do want to spend time looking for a girl in a bar. I am looking for a responsible, caring and loving mate.

I'm blessed with the most wonderful family and friends that any man could ask for. Meet someone special from United States. I have had a fortunate life of a lot of travel and adventure. I would be stoked to meet a potential good friend first and have fun getting to know someone. If it worked to be more than that - awesome but good company would be a nice start. Ultimately I am looking to meet someone special, like minded that wants to laugh and have fun sharing a life together.
I love to be out in nature and be active - generally that is while climbing. Although I am just as comfortable looking at art, making art, enjoying a wonderful meal or going to a show. Some things that will tell you more about me are - I have never owned a TV and grew up in Alaska....
I am currently in Boulder for the month working on a project. I will be going back to Flagstaff where my home is in July. I wanted to see if there was any potential here for a relationship as I would move for the right situation / person.

Date a soulmate from United States. Looking for someone who is fun, low drama, caring and likes an intelligent volley of insightful conversation. I humbly consider myself an intelligent life form, introspective, playful and expressive..yet translating this to a few paragraphs feels like a struggle. My mirror reflects someone who is authentic, fades into the background at times but can step into center of attention too. Most everyone notices I am naturally affectionate, hugger and snuggler - so of course someone who appreciates care and affection. To me, hugs are the currency of the world and I like spending mine and accepting donations! Some qualities that shine through as as attractive in a woman are spiritual awareness, savoring outdoors, orientation toward openness and learning, adventurous attitude, consciousness , not just smart but possessing an experiential and sweet nature. Desire a bright woman who speaks her mind and heart when it counts...the first time. Maturity impresses me a lot, but interlaced with healthy doses of humor and playfulness - this gives a relationship and life in general a lot more positive momentum and joy.
I am blessed with caring, quality amigos, curiosity, a love for irony, youthful spirit.. a few sprinkles of confidence along with dashes of humility. My eye is open for someone who wants a a passionate relationship that has room for humor for to make the good times better and rough times more bearable. Ideally would love someone who maintains emotional space for herself and her partner, knows what is important to her and at same time cares to know what is important to me. Everyone is so very busy, but I very much respect a woman who purposefully makes time for quality interaction and craves this.
Learning and adventuring are important and bring happiness to my life..I notice pretty quickly if this is not happening. Being outdoors rock climbing, backpacking, mountaineering..hiking around the desert, frolicking in snow or the simple pleasure of a little chocolate & wine at the summit of a mountain...all things that percolate into moments of bliss. Sharing a hug with a loved one marveling at the beautiful landscape makes my spirit soar..especially if it took real physical effort to get to that place.
Love travel, want to do more both domestic and international. Look for someone who is enamored with culture, adventure travel and is not wedded to status quo. If you are as happy sharing thoughts, ideas and experiences as you are exchanging hugs and smiles - we should get along well. These interactions help form a relationship that is stimulating and intimate.
I desire active, loving, genuine, creative and intelligent persons to share my time with, otherwise I am happy being by myself. Life is too precious and fleeting to not adventure, love and be surrounded by great people. We all know meeting in person is where real communication begins..so if that appeals to you..then you know what to do from here...

Meet people from United States.
Hello There! I'm Swissecu38, aka Mark! I came up with this username because I've been blessed to have been able to travel to Switzerland and Ecuador during my 38th year! Thank you for reading up on me!
I'm starting a slightly new chapter in my professional career. After being a classroom teacher in elementary education for 11 years, I wanted to allow myself more time and energy for social opportunities! Don't get me wrong, I have been social while being a third, fourth, and fifth grade teacher, but more time and energy to devote to my personal life is now a priority! My goal is to transition into being a physical education teacher at the elementary level. I do have a job reserved for the 2012-2013 school year. In the interim, I've been substitute teaching for p.e. teachers and have had a blast doing it!
You might have guessed it! I love kids! Being in education, volunteering at the Boys' and Girls' Club, and hanging out with my friends' kids bring me such joy! Setting a good example for children and for myself is important! You won't hear me curse, watching rated R movies, or abusing any substances! Yes, I'm straight-laced!! I figured that I should just put that out there, so you know what I'm all about!
Adjectives to describe me: Religious, Loyal, Tall, Athletic (not a skiier or snowboarder though), Funny (at least I think so!), Ticklish,Thoughtful, Giving, Talkative, Social, Outgoing, Travel Lover.
Characteristics I'm looking for: Religious, Fun, Positive, Outgoing, Athletic, Loves kids, Appreciates Latin music-a bonus!, Likes to travel.
One more important thing to know about me is that I have strong roots in my home state of NJ! I'm very close with my sister and my friends there. Since both of my parents are deceased, the connections that I have in my remaining network are extremely important to me! Recently, I went back to NJ to help a high school friend whose basement was flooded by Hurricane Irene! If a friend or family member needs me, I do my best to serve them. A woman in my life would have to be understanding about this occasional travel to allow me to keep my east coast roots strong!
Thank you for your attention! I hope I didn't go on and on! If you're interested in learning more, please send me an e-mail. If I'm not your type, I wish you the very best with your search!

Date single man from United States. Hi there.
About me (good): I read as if to make up for my sins. I'm genuinely upbeat and go to great lengths to find the positive, even if it's not immediately clear what that looks like. Travel excites me, relationships inspire me, and old friends keep me honest. I seek out twisty roads, boutique hotels, and crisp afternoons. I like talking to little kids because they will typically believe anything; I’m therefore crazy about my two nephews even if they are becoming more (too) savvy.
About me (neutral): I don't believe in using exclamation points unless you're communicating a fire or the birth of a child, although I'm clearly not as severe toward parentheses. I'm a sucker for drawing to the flush. I've fallen into the habit of living near water, a challenge in CO. With the exception of college basketball, I’m not a big sports fan. I believe the order in which you read the Sunday Times says more about you than your astrological sign. I like the idea of breakfast more than I do the meal itself. As an adult I've lived in North Carolina, Manhattan, Chicago, Georgetown, Boulder, and Boston. I've settled here in Boulder, a fact for which my dog was hugely appreciative.
About me (bad): I drink so much coffee I should probably come with a poncho and a donkey. I drive with the top down well into December. I will listen to a favorite new song so often the iTunes people will call to make sure I'm not slumped over dead. I have lots of cameras but rarely take pictures. I never remember what you're allowed to bring on an airplane so I buy grooming products when I land.
About you: You typically wake up with a smile. You’re not afraid to trust, embarrass yourself (to a degree), or laugh when everything goes sideways. You might have kissed a girl at summer camp or a boy in church. You like to travel and might get daring with a foreign menu. You've got your own interests that don't need the approval of another person. You don't hog the Styles section. You've learned it's the unexpected little things that keep a relationship fresh, like a note on the door or surprise in one's suitcase. You have a genuine laugh and you're either super cute or simply adorable.
Answers to frequently asked questions: I'm fiscally Conservative but socially progressive. I was married for six months in my mid-twenties before we both realized the mistake. No, I did not create Angry Birds.

Meet men and women from United States. I admire people who are open-minded, adventurous, compassionate, independent, and passionate. I like to think of myself as a pragmatic and down-to-earth guy, but in truth I am a bit of a dreamer and an idealist. It's a tough balance. I am a bit of an introvert, although I enjoy socializing at parties, have a wicked sense of humor, and I'm very confident. I'm also a very good communicator, and I'm not afraid to face the real, important issues in a relationship.
As you can see from my profile pictures, I really enjoy being in the mountains, and I love taking pictures there. However I like to do a lot of other things as well, they are just not as well-documented. =p
Mornings are my favorite time of day- aside from the fact that breakfast happens then (my favorite meal), I enjoy training for climbs in the big mountains by running, weightlifting, and climbing at the rock gym. Then when I get to work I can feel like I accomplished something!
At this point in my life, I am trying to construct a lifestyle that fits in with my long-term goals, vocations, and dreams- I admire persons who are striving to live a better life, to find ways to make contributions to society, who are NOT complacent and just looking to settle down and live an average, or 'normal' American lifestyle- these are my kind of people =)
I believe relationships are endeavors that require a lot of intentional work and devotion to be nurturing and joyful for the participants (i.e. us).
