When it comes to looks, I tend to think that some women are the most beautiful things that I've ever seen while some men wouldn't think so. I absolutely adore tall women. But I don't hold prereqs. Essentially, aside from attentive and honest questions, I enjoy being a fairly quiet fella. It's not that I have nothing to share, on the contrary, I merely embraced the lesson that key to wisdom is to live long and to say little. I easily absorb more, more often than not, when my mouth is shut. Before he passed, my grandpa shared with me a couple of really essential lessons. First, it's not going to matter how many people show up at your funeral, it's how deeply they'll miss you. Prior to Colorado I worked at my wee little home hill back east. Ski Patrol was easily the most demanding and rewarding job I’ve ever had and was not nearly fool enough to think I could jump right back into it The Rockies. My intention was to only spend a season or two familiarizing myself with the terrain and environment up here before possibly returning. Notice that whole 'intention was' thing there? *Do many running events (I'm a slow dog but always up for new venue), some tris (prefer Xterra although my Springer could out swim me.) Mountain bike or road?
*Will whitewater kayak, prefer shred (2 person) or raft best with kids - have equipment - no experience necessary. Have kayaked in NZ, Mexico, Costa Rica, Alaska, BC and most of US.
* Do something with kids 13 and 14 every weekend but active participation . . . acknowledge my kids, mom, siblings, friends, as important . . .
* Work out every day often late since - very busy. Love anyone to swim, run, cycle late or early even just once week.
* Do something outdoors at least one day every weekend.
* Grateful for everyday. Humor in life. Prefer: social run (start finish, and converse together (after get my breathing under control first half mile) over tempo run; Conversation in half marathon over PR or speed; Life stories peddling side by side rather than drafting. Always happy to try a new trail run (enjoy organized races or just scenic run) or bike ride to a far coffee shop. Not afraid of impromptu weekend, just finishing, broaching, bushwacking, losing the trail, getting soaked, mud, rain, three flat tires, no guide, crashing, being dilettante, camping at trail head in dark, abysmal mediocrity, . . .

*Enjoy architecture, development, conservation, biographies, history, glass wine, food, . . .
* listen to Kotke, Clapton, KD Lang, Rory Gallagher (dead I know) Cooke, Patsy Cline, Roy Buchannon, BB King, Sam Cooke most blues. Learning violin and promise you do not have to listen unless you too are struggling beginner (or flute, cello, bass) and willing share frustration . . . as long as can laugh. Would love to practice with someone maybe once week.
