It occurred to me that perhaps I should share a little bit more about myself.
I grew up in New Mexico on twenty acres, we had cows, chickens, pigs and horses along with a few dogs and cats, it was a great way to grow up and I really do miss it. It was a lot of work but I loved it.
I got married young and moved to California, had two wonderful sons, but the marriage did not work out.
I was married a second time and lost my husband in a four wheel drive accident, that was almost ten years ago now. I have only recently started dating again and found it to be difficult so I decided to try match and see if it would make it any easier.
I believe that relationships take work but I also believe it is a labor of love. I think the initial spark of attraction is important but after that there must be shared interests and the depth that friendship and time brings.
I work as a bar manager in a small casino, I enjoy my work but there is definitely something missing from my life. I want someone to love again, someone to share life with, someone to cook for and someone to take care of.

. I'm somewhat independent, so I appreciate someone who is secure enough while I pursue my hobbies (dancing) even if they are not interested. In return, I have no problem with someone getting together "with the boys" to watch a game. I come from a multicultural background, and my friends are of different ethnicities and orientations so I appreciate someone who can see and understand with humor and kindness all the foibles of cultural differences. I like people who are interested in current events and enjoy "National Geographic" topics. A global orientation/view definitely helps. I am a runner, and have been in triathons, marathons, etc. but I find they don't make for very good conversation, finish times don't matter unless you're an Olympian... I'm also perfectly happy with my toes in the sun and my dog in my lap and doing nothing at all... I do have to start my day off with a Newspaper, however. I think the most important thing I'm looking for is a witty sense of humour, (but you don't have to be "on" all the time). So much of life is silly, even some of the serious stuff.
