Date someone special from Glassell Park, United States. There are millions of people that have successful relationships; then there is us. Our relationships have ended by choice or by the death of our partner.
I’ve been at this for several years. I haven’t found a lifetime mate yet. In retrospect, I think maybe it’s because I haven’t been completely accurate/honest in presenting my profile. So, I’ve updated it. Here goes:
My glass isn’t half empty. No, it’s not half-full. I see the entire glass. I’m not looking for an equal; I don’t want to compete with my mate, so I’m looking for someone I can be comfortable with without always having to be on my toes.
At the same time, I’m looking for someone greater than I. Someone I can helplessly adore without reservation.
It would be great to find someone with whom I have common values, activities, and interests. She would accept my unique interests and activities. Hopefully we will overlap in many passions and interests.
I enjoy skiing and, if she doesn’t enjoy winter sports, at least she’s willing to travel with me and engage in her own interests in snow country. Next time she chooses the place, whether it be a cruise, a tour, or something else she likes.
I am politically active for liberal causes. She need not be politically active, and although I understand the conservative viewpoint, I cannot often embrace it.
In the past I enjoyed traveling in Iceland, Morocco, South America, Asia, Europe, Turkey (is it Europe or Asia?), and The South Pacific. I’d like to go back to them again, but also see new places like the Galapagos and Antarctica. It would be wonderful to enjoy it with someone special.
One of my heroes is Ben Franklin. He was a publisher, scholar, inventor, scientist, founding father, statesman, and man-about-town. Hey, a Renaissance man! Another hero is Daniel Ellsberg.
