Meet single man from Oxnard, United States. Had several careers including aerospace engineer, management consultant, math professor, hardware store owner, and real estate broker. Off all these I enjoyed real estate the best, not only for the economnic opportunities presented but for working directly with interesting people. I am now simi-retired and work about 2 - 3 hours a day doing property management. This gets me out of the house and my mind occupied on other things and I enjoy it. Problems slide off my back very easily and I just solve them and don't worry about them. I was married for 33 years before my wife passed away and I thoroughly enjoyed the closeness, companionship, and sharing. Being "semi-retired" gives me an opportunity to play bridge several times a week.
I like talking to each other, sharing things, doing things together, caring for each other, worrying about each other, and being happy for each other when thing go right and consoling each other when things go wrong.
My idea of a relaxing life in retirement is sharing with a loved one; a hug and a kiss, fixing a gourmet dinner together (usually with a good wine), relaxing and chatting about anything and everything, bike riding during the day, going for a boat ride during the eveninhg or weekends, watching the sun go down over the ocean, seeing a play or visiting a museum or art show, traveling a little, or just reading and watching some TV together. Just enjoying the benefits of many years of hard work.
