I am smart and totally sarcastic. So if you can appreciate my dry sense of humor, we'll have fun. My friends tell me I'm an amazing chef, but I don't cook for a living. If you're a foodie, we will definitely get along. These days I prefer to do the cooking, but still love going out for a meal. It could be a total hole in the wall or white tablecloth fine dining, I love it all.
I enjoy doing anything outside. That's why we live in Southern California, right? The beach is my favorite. I also really love going to see live music and sporting events.

Meet someone special from Belmont Shore, United States. So, as the Match handle suggests, I travel a lot. Mostly for work these days, but not exclusively. I manage when and where I go, so I'm happy. I've been to over 30 countries, and I have a bunch of great pictures to show for it. However, none of them are within the last couple of years (unlike my profile pics), so you'll have to ask nicely to see them. They're pretty cool, though. Honest.
I'll talk to anyone, anywhere about anything. It's why I'm in sales, and it's why I enjoy exploring the world. I've discussed politics at a French laundromat, sports in a Scottish pub, and US history on a Japanese train -- it's all part of the story.
I’m a Michigan native and rabid Wolverines fan – fall Saturdays are reserved for Michigan football, this is not negotiable. I know it's just a game. I understand it's just a bunch of kids playing. I don't care. It's a great community, and I love it. The up-side for you is that I am that prototypical Midwest guy - polite, respectful, nice, but never a pushover. However, I've also lived in Japan, Arizona, France and Canada. So, I'm kind of worldly. Seriously, I speak multiple languages. I can tie a tie and attend a gala, sans problem. I just prefer my flip-flops. I actually like being both global and beachy-provincial. I love being from the Detroit area (and still support all of my hometown teams -- yes, even the Lions,) but my soul belongs by the beach, so here is where I plan to stay.
I'm very social, but not at all into the club scene. I'm much more of a happy hour, hang with my friends at a beach bar/Irish pub kind of guy. Throw in a live band and I'm in heaven.
I'm fairly fit, but not a gym rat. Right now I'm looking to join a local pick-up water polo league (I played in college), which is so utterly, ridiculously Californian I can't even tell my friends back home about it. They wouldn't believe me.
I’m very comfortable with laughing at myself. I see nothing wrong with getting my news from The Daily Show and Colbert (although I also read the LA Times and the Wall Street Journal, and BBC online.) I'm eerily insightful, when I'm paying attention to the topic at hand. I daydream a lot. I'm a textbook ENFP, in case that means anything to you. Finally, I am a firm believer that the journey is every bit as important as the destination.
As for you: I'm surrounded (happily) by very strong, successful women in my family and circle of friends. It's all I know, and it's what I'm looking for. Are you a successful, strong, educated woman? Do you feel that guys in LA/OC don't really want to date women with that particular combination of traits? Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm here to show you otherwise. I'd also love (although it's not a deal breaker) to meet someone that has lived abroad. It's an experience that cannot be simulated, or fully explained. You're a bit sassy, but always kind. You're open-minded, down to earth and (this is important) you have a "silly switch" that you turn on early and often. You also put up with my quirks, as I do yours. Physical attraction and chemistry are important to me (big surprise, eh?), but I don't really have a single ideal set of physical characteristics in mind, other than a great smile, which I am a complete sucker for.
