I have had some recent heart/ hard lessons, but am not willing to give up on love. I hope you can see where my interests lie.
I've been told by friends that I am a loyal, smart, giving, loving, compassionate, strong, woman of God with a sense of humor, contagious laugh, and great smile ;-) I enjoy working out after a stressful day at work, watching TV/videos or theater movies, cooking, day/weekend trips, and socializing with friends over drinks and/or a good meal. I'm a water person too, so show me a pool, lake, river, ocean and I'll be in it!!
OK GUYS - I've worked very hard at narrowing down my must haves/hope for list of desires for who I'm looking for: A man that is a strong Christian (seen in leadership qualities and enjoys some type of ministry like Church or Bible study, etc.), has a sense of humor, is honest, smart, courageous, strong, playful (can help me take life less seriously), and most importantly is A GOOD COMMUNICATOR that is willing to work at the relationship. OBVIOUSLY, WE MUST HAVE CHEMISTRY TOO and I don't just mean physical attraction, but also that ability to build intimacy by talking and listening to each other, and spending time together doing whatever activities we both enjoy. I'm open to try new things, and just need some encouragement to get out there - SO LET'S GET GOING!!
My past relationships have taught me that I do like to talk (although I listen for a living)... and some men find that fact a challenge. So one thing I am definitely looking for is a man that can communicate to me when I need to listen to him (without losing his temper or just zoning out). I can be a good listener, but when I first meet someone I may talk nervously.
On a last note. I recently discovered how to dress in a visually appealing way to show off my sexy side. For years, I thought that being a Christian woman meant never really standing out in a crowd, but I am a new creation in Christ, and I want to show off the assets God gave me. However I do not want to be treated like a sex object!! I need a man that has some sexual self-control, and can respect me enough to stick to boundaries we agree upon as we get to know each other. I want to date someone that is interested in marriage long-term, not just 'friends with benefits' and is willing to pursue me if I seem like a good match to him.
