Date a man from Novato, United States. I have been married twice, the first time we both were very young! I have been divorced for over 20 years and single life is not always what it is made out to be. I am looking for a non-drama companion and friend, let us see where it may lead.
Meet someone special from Novato, United States. Not easy, but kind, thoughtful and self aware, fit, and I WILL make you laugh. I know who I am and what can make me happy. No unrealistic expectations, just hope for the future. My life works. Maybe it can work with you too? Looking for a friend and lover with an open mind. We can find it all again.
Date a soulmate from Novato, United States. I am kind, sincere, simple type of guy who loves nature and different cultures. I enjoy outdoor activities such as walking (especially walking on the beach- I love being near the water), and hiking. I also enjoy going to the gym so I can stay healthy.
I enjoy organic fruits and veggis, and once in a while I enjoy cooking Persian food!
I enjoy trying different types of food such as Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Italian, and of course Persian! I am open to try other types of Ethnic food.
Some of my favorite places to visit are;
Mendicino, Carmel, San Francisco, Marin County, and Napa.
I am self employed, and work 30-40 hours a week.
I enjoy different types of music from soft rock to gypsy to latino and some country.
I spend a lot of time thinking about my future, wondering if someone special is out there for me.
My ideal match would be someone who is optimistic, understanding, kind, spontaneous, easy going, enjoys being around nice scenery, likes to eat healthy, and enjoys going on walks or hikes. This special someone would also like to enjoy living their life to the fullest.
I would like to find someone who I can hold hands with, and have great conversations. I would love to spend time with my special lady going out to museums, night clubs, go out dining, dancing, cooking, playing sports, go traveling or sightseeing, and walking around different places.
Meet a man from California, United States. What is the life well lived?
It is one in which you are fully awake: you are aware of your opportunities for happiness and fulfillment, help others along their journey, and leave kindness, goodness, and grace in your wake.
While practicing this makes my life more meaningful, I would derive so much more joy by sharing it with a like-minded woman.
You likely have your own children, and thus understand and appreciate what an important place my 19 year-old daughter has in my life. She is attending college next year in Paris, having spent the last two years in Virginia at Sweet Briar College
I love to sail, hike, lose myself in a good movie or book, whip up a fabulous meal for my good friends and family, or catch some live music. Love theater and opera for special treats.
I read novels, poetry, non-fiction, NYTimes Online, Reuters, and Grist. Big fan of Henry Miller, Lawrence Durrell, Yukio Mishima, Diane Ackerman, John Steinbeck, Billy Collins, and Rainier Maria Rilke.
As for work, I'm an art director/designer. Been one since long before anyone knew what that was. I had my own business for many years, but now also work as the Art Director for a luxury Real Estate brokerage affiliated with Sotheby's. Also do a lot of pro-bono work for causes I believe in.
Speaking of beliefs, politics are important to me, and I consider myself an engaged, socially progressive liberal who is damned concerned about the legacy we are passing on to our children, and am doing whatever I can to affect positive change from my corner of the world.
Rather than laying down a political gauntlet, let me assure you that I don't seek the soapbox at every opportunity, but am usually up for a lively chat about the State o' the World.
I must add at this juncture that I am also absolutely awed by the wonderful diversity of culture, opinions, aspirations, social, and familial backgrounds that I have been privileged to enjoy in people in my travels—at 61 I am still in love with people, and you should be, too.
As for baggage, at our age, if you don't have any, you haven't lived. We have ALL had our hurts, our shames, and our disappointments, and I'm no exception. But life is about positively learning from those trials, and emerging a better person. What's found in my "emotional suitcase" is freshly laundered and usually pretty neatly stowed, thank you, but definitely packed for discovery and adventure.
Anything is possible when we mix in that essential solution of great (and hot!) chemistry. If, after a reasonable amount of time to get to trust, know, and care for each other, we realize that we have become serious, that we have indeed fallen truly, deeply, and madly in love with each other, then we shall become each other’s safe harbor to count on and return to, always ready to cast off and explore and enjoy what life offers, even when just from our own veranda.
We would naturally and unhesitatingly enrich each other emotionally, spiritually, and materially, offering mutual respect, passionate attention, unwavering loyalty, and lasting companionship along the way.
Enough said for now. Some things are best left in person over a glass of wine, a strong espresso, or something shared and chocolate. I'll always leave the last bite for you...

Meet single man from Novato, United States. Well let's get this out of the way right up front: I won't be a "perfect fit", and neither will you. Our lives at this stage are complex and different, simply from not having an intertwined history. If the fates allow, I'll have 20-some years more to enjoy on this little blue marble. Oh, I know how to have a good time and I treat myself well enough, yet I still hope to share joy with a genuine and loving companion -- We’re not meant to be alone on this alluring journey.
About me:
I’m an educated gentleman, with successes, foibles, and my share of mistakes. I’ve been fortunate and blessed to know true love in my life so I miss the warm connection of standing together as one, no matter the storm. Strong physically, emotionally and spiritually, I can be the most romantic knight in miles, yet I’ve become increasingly realistic about potential connections. I get far more pleasure from giving than receiving-- and I've NEVER left the seat up, nor had to be asked to take out the trash!
I’m healthy, well employed, active, warm, articulate, always polite, and I laugh easily and heartily. My feelings are readily accessible and I’m also a serious thinker. I find humor and irony in much of life and good friends appreciate my often unique perspective. According to all my kids I’m an excellent father. My large original family is exceptionally warm and welcoming and my adult sons are fabulous individuals. I own my own tux and I'm adept in the kitchen. (Guaranteed, your mom would love me... ) My dreams are still filled with adventure and I'm up early to enjoy the crisp clarity of morning. I’m a sports fan, especially of the Niners and Giants.
Who I seek:
Chemistry is elusive; those special sparks within feelings can't be forced. "Make (you) laugh!" ?? Let's make each other laugh! Physical attraction seems essential, yet the sexiest part of a woman is (usually) her brain. Reality has shown that a distance over a hundred miles proves too much; caring, sharing, daring, baring-- all work best at relatively close range. Fitness matters, as does a tender empathetic heart. What else? I require an authentic communicator (since I am one).I'm fine sending a few communiques via this medium, but then let's TALK, and even (gasp) MEET. Please note: I’m not going to take you on four great dates and then not hope for at least an invitation to brunch or a home-cooked meal in return-- but I'd settle for a surprise picnic and hike. Humorous sarcasm and occasional klutziness are quite acceptable; "Currently Separated" and "Trying to Quit" are not. Whiners, incessant talkers and whistlers need not apply!
I like almost all dogs, cats seem to like me (especially during allergy season), and horses fascinate me... Yet too many pix of pets in a profile raises a yellow flag (Do I need to see all FIVE horses-- individually?). Postcard-style travelogues don't reveal much... Hey, I deliberately didn’t add the pix of me shirtless, holding up a fish in front of my Harley, or my reflection in the bathroom mirror..
As often as possible I choose kindness as my way of meeting the world, but I also stand my ground. Lately I vacillate between being comfortably content in my aloneness and then, when it edges toward the chasm of loneliness, I miss the treasure of a great relationship. Heck, the truth is, these days I'd get a charge out of coming home to a warm smile.
"Where there's smoke... there's smoke."
“For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these: It might have been."
"Love is a fire. But whether it is going to warm your heart or burn down your house, one can never tell."
Date someone special from Novato, United States. Loves children, responsible, with a sense of humor. willing to do new things and meet new people. would like someone with similiar views, but like I said, willing to do new things. Meet a soulmate from Novato, United States. I'm a laid back gentleman who lives one day at a time. In my free time I enjoy hiking, tennis and socializing with friends. I own an independent sales business that keeps me busy most days, but if I'm caught up, I can usually get away for fun activities during the week. I have 2 adult children living in San Francisco. My son is married and has a 1 year old daughter who I adore. My daughter has a boyfriend and doesn't have a lot of time for her dad but we see each other regularly and stay in touch by phone. We're a close family that stays in touch and positively support each other.
I'm looking for someone to spend free time with. Trips to museums, hiking, a movie or just a cozy meal out or in appeals to me as well. I love to cook, so a dinner at home appeals as well.
Eventually I'd like to find someone to travel with and to share my life with but first things first and that would be some one that is just fun to spend time with.
