. First of all, sorry about the photographs. I don't have many of myself. I guess you could infer from that, that I'm not conceited.
Really, I'm a pretty nice guy. Fairly normal, but somewhat adventurous. I like being out and doing things. That's what I get high on. Just life itself. It can be very intoxicating. I don't do drugs, at least not for a very, very long time. I do indulge in the ocational alcoholic beverage. Usually when enjoying a great Mexican dinner, I will also enjoy a nice cold beer (one usually.)
I'm compassionate and try (I emphasis try) to consider others before I do or say something. BUT, I do have a cutting wit and sometimes put my shoe in my mouth. (Boy, that Nike doesn't taste that good.)
I am a positive person. Two of my main philosophies are:

Let's see, what are some of the things I like to do? Well, as you can see from the photo, I do have a motorcycle which I love to ride. There is a certain freedom that comes with riding a motorcycle. The sun beating down (I don't like to ride in the rain, not fun), the wind blowin' in your face and hair! Oh, I don't have hair (besides, I have a helmet on.) I also skydive. The freedom of actually flying. What more could an adventurous person want. I do have a passion for golf. What a great way to put the troubles of the world out of your mind for about 4 hrs. And, as a bonus, the way I play is also adventurous. Golf also gives me a good reason to travel, which is also one of my passions. I take one or two golf vacations a year. Three to six times a week (depending on the week) I like to work out. That keeps me in shape to be adventurous. I will play the guitar 5 to 7 days a week. Mostly just for myself, but the 2 dogs and the cat seem to enjoy it too. At least they don't complain or run to another room when I pick it up. I also read, on average two or three books a month. I love movies and just sitting down and enjoying some music is also soothing. Not to adventurous though. I belong to a book, DVD and music club, so it does give me something to do when I feel less adventursome. Having owned a photo studio, I still enjoy just going out and taking photographs.
I have 2 daughters and 7 grandchildren, and family is also important to me.
Like I said, just a normal guy.
I have been a widower for over 6 years now. I enjoy myself and enjoy being with myself. I don't need someone to make me "complete". BUT, I am ready to share some time with someone else. There are times when it is lonely.
I am 59, but feel much younger. I work with several younger people (from mid 20s to mid 30s) and I actually have more in common with them then the guys my own age.

I play guitar and sing, write my own music and lyrics, my musical tastes are varied but I tend to write country/folk/rock though I also love blues/broadway/jazz/contemporary. I play golf once a week and like to walk on the beach. I belong to the gym but am not a gym rat, like to swim and do yoga, as hard as I try I do carry "a few" extra pounds...but there are six pack abs underneath, I swear!
I do not watch TV, I would rather play a game of Scrabble!!
I do watch movies, I like all genres, just as happy to have a good cry as I am to grab your leg for effect when the monsters first appear (I also like the animated features when the dialog is full of adult humor).
I read everything from current internet media to books I should have read decades ago, open to just about anything well written. Current all time favorites "Pillars of the Earth" and "World without End"
Just finished the Earth's Children series by Jean Auel (remember Clan of the Cave Bear)
I can be very active or just laid back depending on my mood, easy to entice into trying something new, I turn on a dime and will adapt to the changing world as we go (assuming "we" exists).

. I don't know about you but I find it a little weird writing about myself, but here goes. BUT........ It’s funny I read the same things everyone's hot spots are Paris, Spain, Maui, Buffalo, NY (the Buffalo part is a joke, get it?) along with photos of with their dog(s).....really???? Will spot be going out with us? And we all like to snuggling up on a cold night with a fire and some wine, and on and on....... looking for the ultimate mate.
Most of us are looking for that special someone who likes going to a nice quiet restaurant for dinner, or going out to a movie, walks on the beach, out for coffee, listening to live music, right? But chemistry is what we’re all looking along with plenty of romance. I also believe opposites can and do attract. Like you I’m looking for someone to be connected with who is sincere, affectionate, secure and loyal, with humor, honesty, fun and no games/baggage (well we all carry some but that's Ok). I try to hit the gym as much as I can to keep physically fit .
I’m a nice guy’ meaning I will give a homeless person a buck or two once in awhile, but sometimes I'll walk or look the other way if I'm not in the mood, (hey I'm sure you've done the samething lol), hold the door open for a woman, use the ladies first concept, use my turn signal to change lanes and not hold my cell phone while driving, (that’s because my Prius has blue tooth).
I was in the music business for twenty some years and found leaving the business side I was able to enjoy playing guitar so much more. I also have a teenage musician son who means the world to me, and music has fused a connection between us. I’m also a pilot and I have done years of flight instructing but have backed off the last couple years to renew my passion for guitar. Plus I got tired of seeing how many different ways people can try to crash an airplane, maybe that’s why my hair is so gray? I don't go out to clubs to dance, maybe because a long time ago I was in a dance contest and someone called the paramedics because they thought I was having a seizure of some sort, after that they told me I shouldn’t ever try to dance again.
Sometimes I wonder what am I doing this internet dating thing for isn’t there a better way to meet someone? I guess not right now that’s why I’m here on match as opposed standing out in front of a supermarket handing out questionnaire fliers I guess.
