I have a cool designer side who loves anything creative, things and people, visual stimulation which I label the pretty design things by very talented and gifted, individualism and quirkiness. There's also a warm and friendly nerdy side that appreciates the dorky things, intellectuals, conspiracy theories and nerd speak. The silly things I'd say and my imagination can make you laugh. My sense of humor is immense, any type of light banter with sarcasm are always welcomed. Interacting with people is what I prefer, that often means queuing in grocery checkout lines, banks, and restaurants, yes even at the dmv... I'd like to put a smile on people's faces, say something nice can make their day. I think being kind to people in all walks of life is a must. Spontaneity is something I strive for, so I hope the girl I meet would appreciate the freedom of just going with the flow sometimes. I like witty and intelligent conversations about anything, any point of view that gets me thinking - in seriousness or silliness.. A true optimist at heart, prefer to be drama free, no baggage, Big picture guy, don't worry about the little things and never hang on to the past, live with no regrets in life. Date someone special from Los Angeles, United States. Doesn't everyone love describing himself/ herself? So, here comes the excitement...or a bunch of words at a minimum! I guess some inquisitive people want to know who you are - I know, an extremely high expectation! However, here's a bit of context about me:
- Moved from the Mid-West to West Coast because I'm very active outdoors and there's nothing better than sun, warmth, and a beautiful ocean/beach to spend your days by :)
- Family is paramount to me. I speak to my mother, father, and sister at least a few times a week. We're often confused for the 'Griswolds' and always have fun during the holidays
- I'm an extremely passionate, driven individual with a work hard/play hard mentatity. 'Carpe Diem' has always been my mantra
- I've been blessed to have a very rewarding career as an Area Sales Director in the pharmaceutical industry. I love developing people and the challenge driving sales brings each and every day
- I'm very spontaneous/adventurous... So be prepared to go on some type of fun journey at a moments notice! :) Life's too short and I'm not afraid to live it...
- What am I looking for??? Someone who's equally as passionate and driven about life, their career, going on adventures, basically a partner in crime who's not afraid to take that 'leap of faith' everyday and just see where it takes you.
- PS...I have no qualms about making a fool of myself and love to laugh so it's imperative the person I'm with doesn't take themselves too seriously.

It's all about the little things, the feeling of a great workout, red wine and a medium rare steak, riding my beach cruiser along the beach for miles, speeding when I can in LA Traffic ;) oysters and cold white wine, sipping coffee at the Starbucks in Culver City or the Coffee Bean on Main in Santa Monica, hiking ahead of the pack in the hills along the coast of Malibu. chilling in Abbot Kinney with friends, Scotch on the rocks, bonfires on Dockweiler Beach, finish a painting, hit up the Getty Center, I can't wait to own a boat again, I love that seaweed smell that everyone else hates, checking someone off their feet while playing ice hockey, hanging with friends at The Hollywood Forever Cemetary (Cinespia,) crab legs and butter, living in Europe, seeing a new city for its culture and way of life, living outside your bubble, doing something that scares you, The Rose Bowl Flea Market, driving cross country (3 times), salmon and yellow tail sushi, the smell of fresh cut grass, walking The Narrows in Zion, the briskness of fall on the North East. Riding a scooter in South Beach, snorkeling in Mexico, taking your friends out to dinner, being spontaneous, laughing so hard it hurts, sleeping in... Life happens while you are busy planning for it.

So, where to begin…I guess I could start out with the same stuff as a lot of the other guys on the site by saying that “I’m as comfortable in a suit as I am in jeans” or “that I’m sick of the bar scene and looking to try something new” or “that I have a strong relationship with my family”, and while all of these things are true, they don’t really tell you that much about me. In a nutshell, I’ve been working in real estate finance for 10 years, and am a Director at a consulting/valuation firm. This has lead to a recent transfer to L.A., which is why I decided to update my profile. While the job drops me into the comfortable in a suit compartment, I still love snowboarding, mountain climbing, hiking, and camping and have recently been spending most of my vacation time in the mountains, which was a little tough from the City of Chicago. Pretty excited to be able to road trip to something besides corn fields. Anyway, I guess this falls into the comfortable in jeans department. As far as personality, I’m a try anything once type of person, just like almost everybody else on here. You wouldn’t have signed up for a dating website if you weren’t, right?
So a few things…it drives me crazy that almost all men wear their suit coats at least one size too big (might be a Chicago thing)…I’ve wasted more time than I’d like to admit standing in the produce section mulling over the decision between locally grown vs. organic…no matter how hard I try I can’t get more than luke warm over Radiohead…I feel light beer is a myth since you just drink twice as many…I think animals are great, but I still can't figure out why so many people put solo shots of their pets on this site (although a shot that incorporates the owner and a nice big dog can be pretty endearing)...and if I ever have a decision in regard to style or etiquette, I try to think of what James Bond would do. Overall, I’m a pretty open book so if you want to find out more just send me an email.
So what am I looking for in a girl, well, I guess the answer is ultimately everything, but at the same time I’m really just looking to start with something. Does that make any sense? I guess what I’m saying is that you can’t pick the perfect person over a site profile, so stop being so picky and say hi. It can’t hurt.
Oh, and try not to hold the terrible photos against me too much. I just don't tend to run around town with a camera in hand asking people to take my picture, and I've decided against the shirtless self portrait in the mirror approach. From what I understand, you girls think that's a little bizarre...so do I.
