Date someone special from California, United States. Oh, no! Here's that part where I'm supposed to bare my soul regarding my three ex-wives with the same first name. Or my career as a mobile cigarette lighter repairman. Not to mention my preferred hobbies of go-cart racing and malt beverage appreciation. And of course, there's the story about my brother's bachelor party in Vegas that I use to explain the missing front teeth... Actually, if any of the above really turns you on sounds exciting, I’m afraid I’ll have to refer you the competition. But if you’d like to meet a guy who has less baggage than he can fit in his wallet while retaining full custody of his permanent incisors, please read on...
I have some extended family in the Sacramento county, including an aunt and uncle that I'm very close to and a cousin that could almost pass as my twin brother. Since my parents and sister moved to Idaho a couple years ago, I spend quite a bit of time with my extended family. I'll watch chick flicks with my aunt and then go guzzle brewskis and fix cars with my cousin. Further proof that I'm a tough guy who's still in touch with his sensitive, feminine side. Even if I don't have a pink shirt in my wardrobe.
My other main hobbies include fishing, hiking, camping, and nature photography. Many a Saturday morning finds me wetting a line at one of my favorite streams or backcountry ponds with a thin mist still rising from the tranquil waters and a majestic background of granite peaks and ridges. And nothing completes a day of hiking and fishing better than enjoying grilled trout with garlic parmesan mashed potatoes over the coals of a fir-wood campfire while watching the stars come out. Especially when accompanied by cool, crisp mountain air permeated with the sweet aroma of pines. That's Sierra National Forest backwoods living at it's finest, my friends! True to my Wine Country rural heritage, I also dabble in cooking Mexican and Italian cusine, hunt wild pigs ("boar") and deer, and enjoy a nice glass of Merlot or Cab from time to time. Although I spend alot of time in the mountains, I still have that insatiable "Jonesing" for the beach that I have to satisfy at least once a year.
I gave up the gym thing when all the supplements got a little too spendy and all those squats and bench presses dropped my voice an octave. Fortunately, I've found this great internet hiking club based out of Fresno. I've enjoyed quite a few hikes with an amazingly diverse and mutually supportive group of people who all share a great love of nature. I like to pack my camera around on hikes to get a few choice shots of all that natural beauty to share with friends and family via my social networking page. Gives me a great incentive to keep up with the running and cycling routine.
Back in high school, I used to be pretty big on going "Dutch" or trying to get my date to pick up the tab. But after being accused more than once of working for an ex trying to get his girl back, I had to drop the whole detached macho-thing. So these days I'm all about opening doors and picking up the tab whenever I take a lady out for the evening.
I might get still get carded now and then, but I’m getting a little too old to co-star in the next big teen romance. For me, a day in the ideal relationship might involve a scenic day trip to Yosemite Valley or Kings Canyon. How about wine tasting in Napa or Paso Robles? Or spending that bleak winter day indoors on the couch wrapped up in the latest novel with a hot beverage. If sounds appealing and you feel worn thin with all those career frat brothers and polygamous little indie rockers blowing up your phone, we might hit it off. Just give a wink or shoot over a message and we’ll go from there.
