I'm a photographer and writer. I have an almost insane quest to explore the world physically and intellectually. Now the difficult part. Since getting on Match, I’ve met a handful of women face-to-face. The first woman I met looked better than her photographs on Match. That brought a smile to my face, but more importantly it made it easier to get down to what was important, which was talking to her. The next woman I met looked pretty much like her photos so, again it was easy to start talking to her. Alas, the next ones looked very different than their photos. They had posted pictures that were taken years before or were radically altered and that made it difficult since I couldn’t make the transition and be able to really talk to them. Are men superficial? I think the short answer is YES; in the beginning MOST of us are. I have really appreciated women who have dated their pictures or at least some of them. If I put up pictures of me that are really dated, I’m going to get found out and you are not going to be happy. Indeed, I have had conversations with women who were very irritated when they met a man on Match who didn’t look like his photos. So it isn’t just men.
That said, I am looking for a woman who takes care of herself mentally, physically and spiritually and above all has a great sense of humor, loves to engage in spirited conversations, and wants to EXPLORE me, herself and the world around us.
