It was love at first sight when visited here a year ago and now I am relishing the physical beauty and warm culture of this area--it is all that I imagined and more. I am learning to adapt my energetic style to a much less structured life. Friends from up north ask what I am doing and my quick answer is always that I am loafing, but the reality is that I am savoring a much better mix of slow and busy times. I am meeting wonderful new people here and adoring the plentiful bird and animal wildlife. In fact there is a huge covey of quail at the seed tray in my back yard even as I am writing this.
