Date men and women from United States. Hi! I am an animal lover, coffee aficionado, self-sufficient kinda woman! The last decade has definitely been a difficult but fortunately a growing experience. I can't complain because it's helped me to understand and I've learned a lot as well as discovered I am stronger than I thought. I have a wonderful small group of girlfriends who accept me exactly as I am. They describe me as opinionated, straightforward, honest and sarcastic... and I agree. Of course I love to travel, who doesn't? But, when I can't do big trips I make the most of southern Cali. I also love being home relaxing, reading, working on my hobbies, listening to music (gotta warn you, I like to sing out loud) and watching TV. I believe in being healthy but not in depriving oneself of all the yummy things the kitchen has to offer! I enjoy pilates, spinning, running but my favorite is power yoga. It's so relaxing. I also must do things with my pups. They are very active dogs and I like to keep them happy and healthy. But, most importantly, I enjoy being at peace. My life is simple, not very elaborate but I'm finally happy with it.
In the hope of an honest friendship/relationship I would like to add that I am in no hurry to rush into anything. I think it takes time to get to know someone really and honestly. I want something real, strong, founded, honest and secure- from there, well then anything may go. But, again, I'm in no rush. I work on myself daily and hope to continue growing and learning from all my experiences. I hope to find a man with similar qualities or beliefs. It would be nice to meet an intelligent man who is stable, independent, secure and doesn't NEED a woman but wants a companion. And since I am being honest I should also add that I'm not a crazy about sports. Yes, I grew up in a home with a crazy family that still loves baseball and soccer and the tv was always on but I just never got into it. Well, that's a lie. I do enjoy soccer or "futbol" but only during the World Cup or Copa America. I have a fear of heights, I really hate camping but I enjoy being outdoors, like hiking with my pups. Also, I'm not easily swayed, especially if pressured. But, if you have an intelligent argument I will listen. I do belive we can have different likes and opinions. I don't think me disliking anything should deter anyone from them liking it and doing it but that applies back to me. We are all individuals and should continue to be. 1 1 = 2 individuals

I try not to take myself too seriously, and although I am a successful well educated professional, I tend to be very casual , approachable, friendly to everyone, you know the type that says "hi" when you walk by, thats me.
I come from a large hispanic family who is native to southern california. Family gatherings are very frequent and even the smallest get together is never less than 8 people. Our family gatherings tend to be kinda loud, with lot's of happiness, and love, and of course story telling. As the years go by the stories have gotten exaggerated a bit.....but it makes for a good laugh. My partner should be comfortable in these casual family/friend gatherings and enjoy spending time with others.
For the most part I gravitate towards positive personality traits in people, and steer clear of negative individuals. My big 3 deal breakers are Jealousy, Possessiveness, and Negative attitude toward life.....if this is your type...I am not interested.
I have 2 children, my daughter is mostly away at the University, and my 15 yr old son is home with me.
During baseball season I attend most, if not all, of my sons High School Baseball games, which I enjoy very much. I am his biggest cheerleader!
I also love USC Football games, and tailgating parties! Angel Baseball games, and just about any live sporting event, and concerts.
I enjoy sailing, river/lake boating, skiing (not very good at it), taking long drives to places I've never been and getting lost in a new place. Short weekend trips to San Diego, the Avila Beach in the Central Coast, Big Bear, Las Vegas, are always fantastic.
My partner should be an intelligent, successful, generous, family oriented man. A true gentlemen, who is not afraid to show his affections with the woman in his life. Someone who enjoys the simple pleasures in life as much as the small luxuries. I enjoy men with a sense of humor, but not a comedian (unless it's professionally) We know that chemistry is a must, and compatibility is essential in any long lasting relationship. Personally speaking, I am very attracted not so much to" very good looking" men, yet men who are well groomed, dressed for the occasion, and who carry themselves in a confident, friendly manner with others.
A gentlemen at heart, who enjoys sharing himself with others and is surrounded by similar types of individuals is very sexy!

Of course you are honest, sincere, loyal, happy, witty at times, and enjoy laughter. You are affectionate, love to kiss, hold hands can communicate to me how you feel about me. You have integrity, character and are a man of your word. You are past the age of playing games and can see your future......maybe with me in it? You are an explorer of life, who enjoys the journey more than the destination. You inspire me to be a better woman by just being yourself. You can hit the town in a tux or suit, as easily as dress down for some casual fun on the beach, home, or poolside.
In closing, I have a wonderful, blessed life and I would like to find someone special to share it with.
