Date single man from Chico, United States. You can call me Jim ( no it's not MY name) but, it's only fair since I call everyone else "Jim". I'm a single parent of teenage daughter. Her Mother passed of cancer shortly after she was born, so it's just been her and I. I'm just your average blue jeans and T-shirt guy, your typical construction worker and sports fan. I can clean up and fit in to most occasions as well, I do have ties and know how to tie them, although I don't like a rope around my neck to often. I love to do the outdoors, camping, fishing,hunting, exploring, just being in it. It's where I'm most comfortable because it's where I grew up. In a small Northern California logging town.
My daughter (who is still pretty much my best friend )and I have fun just doing things together, but she's 14 now and has started growing out of "hanging with Dad". Unless she's playing softball, then she's ok with it. So I said to myself "Jim, you need to find something else to do with your time, and someone else to spend it with." So here I am trying a little of everything.
Family is important, and having lost 2 siblings recently it puts family into perspective that much more... I
I won't bore you with hoo haw, just the facts. Energetic, Humble, trust worthy, loyal, competitive, brash, subtle, extreme, smart ass, chef tell, BBQ experienced, 45 stitches away from 600 in life, 5 second rule believer, can take it or leave it, at times everyone has drama but I try to avoid it, close to my parents, can't iron(it's called permanantly wrinkling), major sweet tooth, not a wine guy but I could possibly be taught to like it, I like my beer, I only chase one woman at a time, I'm not a player. I'm not rich, never really have been and I don't try to act like I am either,. If you judge someone by the size of the wallet and not the person who's hind side it sits on, I'm definatley not your type.
I am Educated with a degree I unfortunately don't use, and I'm ok with that. Stop in and ask anything else if you have any interests, I'm sure I have some story of my life you'll shake your head at...Rattle snakes, bears, skunks, Mountain Lions, Mud Slides, frozen lakes, the list could go on. I have one for all those, and if you only knew how we grew up, it wouldn't surprise you. As well that little town still has me opening doors for people, saying Please, Thank You, Yes/No Sir, Yes/No Ma'am, and I over use the word Hon in being polite.

Meet a soulmate from Chico, United States. Just looking to meet more people. I work quite a bit and I'm fairly new to California. My work is settling down enough that I can take a breath, look around and start paying attention to my personal life again.
What I'm looking for is simple. Someone I connect with that I'm attracted to. I don't have alot of standards that would be a "line in the sand". I think most of these questions on these profiles have the potential to seperate people.
For example, I'm not worried about what race a potential friend would be. Or her religion. Or whether she smokes or not. I do smoke, but I'm not proud of it and working on it - slowly.
The connection I'm looking for transcends these categories and has to do with whether or not I share the same sense of humor with someone or whether there's a romantic spark or whether she seems to share my values regarding how people in the world should be treated or hopefully all of the above! If I can find those qualities in a "match", the rest won't make much difference to me.
About me- I'm about to turn 46. I have two grown children and two granddaughters (11 and 6). I have a job that I think is pretty important and sometimes puts me in the public eye. My Dad passed away last year and so my relationship with my Mom has become that much more important to me. After being a teenage father, I have beaten the odds to be a productive member of society and feel fortunate that I've been able to reach a place where I have the ability to help others.

I don't consider myself to be a stand-up comedian, but I can give some of them a run for the money. That doesn't mean I can't be serious... but I can also be seriously funny.
I'm a real romantic at heart. I like to make a woman feel special. I like sunsets and walks along the beach. I like romantic dinners and settings. I even like "chick-flicks" more than scary movies" (although a good sci-fi sometimes trumps all).

I'm not a real sports fan, but my favorite teams have been the SF Giants and 49ers for as long as I can remember, even in Rockies' territory. I do like the Avalanche, however, as well as the Sharks. I have always enjoyed local softball games, and even played on my brother's team many moons ago.
