If you are the super-serious-Sally type, maybe you're too intense for me. A chuckle, and a ready smile are a couple of my niceties...and I like an active life and trying to be healthy, and Malapropisms. Something that a lady told me was "amazing", was in response to me revealing I never use the bathroom standing up, and I leave the seat down after I'm finished. Lol. I had no idea it was so gentlemanly but according to her it was almost regal. Truly merited a hearty Lol. TMI and cringing? I say this only because it appears to differentiate me from the typical cro-magnum male. I have been known to grunt loudly and swing my arms around though when in the presence of fast motorcycles and private jet aircraft. Sheesh, I'm a guy. Guilty as charged. =)

Okay, on with my profile... as of July 2012
I was married only once from 1984-2000. I have a married Son-26 with my Grandson-4, Daughter-24, and Daughter-21. I maintain a close relationship to all of them. Which leads me to my priorities in life; Family is always number one, friends are a close second, and I'm in there somewhere. So, how am I in a relationship? The situation dictates the mood; I can be anything from palling around to loving and romantic. My ultimate goal is a relationship that grows into a companionship of mutual devotion. Sounds good on paper!
Now let me knock out most of those "What I want in a guy" list...
-Sense of humor: About 90% of the time. Hey, I am on Match! Does that count? If not, read on. Definitely a priority of mine too.
-Activities indoors and out: Oh yeah. Let's see now, in the last 12 months I have hiked, swam, golfed, biked, hunted, fished, camped, played tennis, beach volleyball, Scrabble and bridge. I've been to a couple movies and a few concerts, bands of my era like Chicago. I missed the 12 month cutoff for snow and water skiing. I'm not looking for a match to join in on all these activities but sharing some mutual interests is a good thing.
-Dining and dancing: I enjoy dancing the night away. I don't know specific dance steps but I can definitely keep my partner swinging. I also enjoy cooking, being cooked for, cooking together, and dining out.
-Honesty: Not a chance. Do guys really admit they're not?... Okay, yes I'm honest, sometimes to a fault. I warn people not to ask me questions unless they are willing to accept honest answers.
-Morals and Integrity: They're pretty high. I live by what I call an "anti-hypocrite doctrine." If I don't accept it in others, I don't accept it in myself. And vise-versa!
-Successful: I'd say succeeding... always had a professional job in a technical field.
-Financially secure: I'm not in debt but I'm not ready to retire.
-Intelligent: I'll have to say "yes" on this one. I'd have to be stupid to say "no"
-Romantic: Absolutely, and a good kisser. So I'm told. I know... You'll be the judge of that.
-Sensitive: I always try to be considerate and thoughtful to others.
-Tender, Gentle: see Sensitive
-Compassionate: I certainly can be.
-Dress: I prefer casual; shorts and sandals, but I own a tux and I'm not afraid to use it.
-Travel: I've been all over the U.S., visited Germany and Singapore for work/recreation. I'd like to visit ancient civilizations, Italy, Greece, Egypt, etc. Again, I'm way open to suggestions.
-No Players please: If that means moving on after discovering we're not a match, that's me, and hopefully you.
-Opinionated: I'm throwing this one in. And, yes! I have strong opinions on most topics. I believe people are a combination of their opinions and their actions. You are what you think and what you do. Pretty simple.
That should give you a little more insight about thinking I'm a match to pursue. Like some of my answers, I can certainly be serious, but I definitely prefer living on the lighter side of life.
