Daily activities may include hiking in the Catalinas, cycling, gardening, yoga, watching documentaries (WW II lately), catching up on my reading, and of course, work! I work with veterans in an acute psychiatric healthcare setting, which I love. Did I mention that I am a nurse? On my days off I like to visit ethnic restaurants, go to the movies at the Loft Theater for an Indy film, take a drive or a hike, or go to a lecture. Travel can be fun with the right person. I am a pretty good cook and am fairly knowledgeable about wine, etc. I enjoy entertaining friends and cooking for family. I lived in Colorado for 25 years, so I like to play in the snow and am a passable skier and snowshoer. I grew up in Hawaii and am comfortable in the ocean, snorkeling or just relaxing. As you can see from my photos, I enjoy my boat and fishing. I wouldn't mind playing golf, I just haven't had the time to learn. I kayak whenever possible. In addition to being a bit of a tomboy, when at a party or formal gathering, I'm usually one of the most attractive women in the room (forgive the apparent hubris, I still harbor self-doubt!). I appear younger than my age due to good genetics, yoga, and personality.
So, it's a pretty good life and would be even better if it were shared! And last but not least, I have a very special place on a lake in Canada where I have spent summers; I'd like to share it with the right person. I take good care of myself, and the right partner would as well. This is very Important to me, particularly at this stage of life. If you are a hard drinker or overweight we would not be a good fit.

My schedule is hectic and, unfortunately, not too free as I am a business owner. I'm health conscious (and expect the same in a partner), a "veggie" (don't expect that); practice Qigong & Taiji, and alternative medicine. I love the mountains, the country, Kung-fu, and have lived in a yurt without electricity and running water for 4 years on a mountain. Dislike cities, TV, football, addictions, cigarettes, rude people, and some modern technologies. Love to travel and explore new things but don't get to do it much. Enjoy movies and cry at many of them. Do not like to see anything suffer or hurt. Do not cook much but sometimes enjoy it, especially with a partner. I can be sensual with a partner whom I feel connected and comfortable with, but am not into one-night stands as I am more mature than that. I want to be friends first and do not choose to be sexual until I feel strongly intimate and comfortable with that person.
