What to say about myself….well I can say that I love to laugh, that I can take a joke and give one too. I have a healthy sense of self-worth, but I by no means think I am perfect –a work in progress. I feel great about where I am in my career and I love my job as a periodontist (if you do not know what a periodontist does, don’t Google images!). Now that you have Googled images, you will see that it is not nearly as evil as it sounds. I love my dogs. I used to think I was a cat person, but then I made a compromise and got a Chihuahua, which is kind of like a cat. Then my dog needed a dog, so I got another dog,.…she is another canine actor-slash-model (movie reference?)…long story. I am trying to be creative here. If you were to step into my home, you would see a bright happy place complete with fur. If you were to step into my work office, my office staff would have already stopped you before you reached the threshold unless you had already signed a waiver. A clean desk is the sign of a sick mind- I am a busy girl and my system works for me!
I am forever hopeful that out there is a smart, funny articulate man whom I also think is attractive. “Attractive” is obviously relative, and I will be more attracted to your brain than your pecs (and I love a good set of pecs as much as the next girl!). But, seriously, I would like to meet a man who is comfortable in his own skin, who knows who he is, who values his family but not to the point that he can’t make his own decisions. An actual grown-up man who is emotionally, spiritually and sexually (blush) mature. Someone who can have both an adult conversation, yet also able to laugh at Tropic Thunder.
On a more serious note, I am a busy professional who is not as social as I would like to be. Social meaning "not work-related" and also outside of my house (beyond the back yard). I am not originally from AZ (I am a NYer sans accent unless you piss me off), but I can appreciate the barbeque-type summers (and barbeques in general, incidentally). I value and cherish my family and my longstanding friendships from back home as well as the amazing people with whom IРІР‚в„ўve served in the military. However, sharing a cup of coffee over the phone is just not the same thing as meeting at the local Starbucks. Full-disclosure: I am in the midst of a divorce, it seems to take forever,.. but I have basically been alone for two years. We don't live together, and there is zero chance of reconciliation.
I can be a bit enigmatic at times, and I am also somewhat of a female misogynist, yet I am still 110% girlie girl. They will pry my lipstick from my cold dead fingers, but I am not ashamed to go out bare-faced in a baseball hat either. . I am a native Texan have been in Phx for over 9 yrs. I spend my free time enjoying my daughter or enjoying well deserved down time. I have traveled some, however, there are several places on this globe I desire to see and experience. My interests are quite diverse stretching across the spectrum - arts/museums to fine restaurants to vineyard tasting to sports events to live music to concerts to fishing/camping. I can be a girly girl when I need to be, but I'm not afraid to get dirt under my nails and put sweat equity into something worthwhile. I can camp with the best of them, teach you how to light a one match fire, and I own two rod/reels and my own tacklebox and minnow bucket. I suppose I should also mention I have two guns,both of which I can use. I look for is someone who is confident (not cocky) and secure within themselves.
