I'm not your typical woman in her mid 40's, especially since I still feel like I'm in my 30's. I didn't turn the radio to the adult contemporary station and start wearing mom jeans when I hit 40. I listen to alternative music, love Social Distortion and Jane's Addiction and still go to concerts. I'm a girlie girl, but also not afraid to get dirty and far from high maintenance. I'm most comfortable in shorts/jeans and t-shirts, but can dress to impress when needed. I'm down to earth, easy going and have a great sense of humor. The Jackass movies crack me up, so I guess my sense of humor is a little off at times. One of my biggest pet peeves is not using proper grammar and spelling. If you can't write a proper email, don't waste your time. I can cook, but am a much better baker. I like wine, but I like craft beers more. I'm also a little on the shy side.

After a great day at work I enjoy a good work-out (Pilates is my new passion!), dinner out or cooking with family/friends, playing water volleyball with my dog Luna (a beautiful Goldendoodle :), and finally relaxing with a good book or an great TV show like Big Bang Theory, Dexter, Breaking Bad, and of course Seinfeld re-runs are always fun.
A great date might include a movie, a fun activity like putt-putt golf or Dave and Buster's, enjoying a favorite restaurant, a hike (when it's not 110 thousand degrees outside!), or seeing a comedy act (I love to laugh!). Frozen yogurt as desert is always a good thing!
A great trip for me could be a day trip to Sedona enjoying the West Fork Trail, a visit to the beach, a trip back to my home state of Michigan to ride horses or go boating with family, or even a trip enjoy the best gelato in Florence (Italy, not Arizona :).

He would like taking long walks and holding hands. I'm an active person, I love doing anything outdoors (that's where I do most of my cardio), doing home improvement projects, pumping iron, cooking and baking (I've won every baking contest I've entered). I enjoy traveling. Just went to SF, Napa, Carmel, the Redwoods, etc., for my b-day in April, and enjoyed a 2 week vacation in Maui last summer. I was a flight attendant back in the day so I got bit by the travel bug early on and enjoy going to new places.
I have an amazing job I love. I'm always expanding my awareness about people, myself and life and believe everything happens for a reason and every experience is a learning experience (sometimes we don't know what the lesson is until much, much later, sometimes it's an ah-ha moment). I had an amazing experience scuba diving in Maui last summer with the sea turtles and realized to really enjoy life, you have to live in the moment. No living in the past, no worrying about the future... just enjoying the now. I got a new tattoo my last day there to reflect that insight :)
I live by karma and really believe you treat people how you want to be treated. I was raised right with strong morals and values. I was born in Wisconsin (so I have Midwest parents, who are still married after 50 yrs!), raised in San Diego (so I'm a beach girl through and through) and have been out here for over 20 yrs now.
