Meet someone special from United States. I am a retired teacher. My husband died 15 years ago, and I would like to find someone to be a companion, and have fun doing things together. I am intelligent and have many interests. I love to travel all over the world, especially in countries that have very different cultures from America.
My favorite hobby is birding. When I am travelling, I like to find new birds I have never seen. I am friendly, and enjoy meeting people. I live on the lake, and love to go boating. I also enjoy photography, reading, bridge, and gardening. My dog Pepper is my best companion now. We are "tight". My Christian faith is important to me, and I would like someone who also feels that way.
I would like to find an educated gentleman who appreciates the finer things in life, and who is honest and dependable. If this is you, have the courage to contact me, and we will see if we are a fit. Roll tide!!!

Date a woman from United States. I called a friend and asked her to describe me...she laughed! Not to be deterred, I pressed the issue. These are the words she chose: intelligent, direct, funny, well-rounded personality, zany and nature and animal lover. Well, who would want to argue with that?
I try each day not to take myself too seriously and to laugh at myself when I do.
I enjoy people, and enjoy doing a variety of things with people. Since I have lived alone, however, I value my solo time too, and think that each one of us needs space. I would like to find a man who would be my friend, someone that I could laugh with. It would be nice to find someone who shared some of my interests and would have some interests that he could share with me. I am pretty flexible. I like doing home projects and have always wanted to learn simple carpentry skills.
Oh, this part of this application is getting on my last flexible nerve, so if you are interested, let's talk or meet and see what happens.

Meet a soulmate from United States. I am thankful for my years of life experience, health and abilities A happy person, I am interested in sharing my life.
Eight years ago, a colleague and I started a non-profit service organization, which allowed me to be creative, do work I love, and make a difference in my community and wider world. I am now semi-retired, still working 10-15 hours a week.
Goals/aspirations: aging consciously, writing poetry, maintaining relationships, living authentically. Travel, life-long learning!
Uniqueness: I am both a people-person and an introvert. I am a serious person, and I like to play. I need time alone to renew my energy. I am a spiritual person who likes to read/think broadly and deeply, and I aspire to do so even more as I move into elderhood. I love being out-of-doors . I care about the environment and preserving the planet for future generations. I care about people/creatures who live on the margins. I have spent my life in service professions, having had several successful careers. I am an Alabama native who has lived in other states and enjoyed other parts of the country. As I've gotten older, I have become more open to whatever is and to opportunities to engage with life in its many expressions. I have also beome more discerning (choosy!) about how and with whom I spend my time. I am easy going, and I like most people, children, and dogs. I don't hold grudges.
Swimming is my exercise of choice and my delight. I regularly enjoy tai chi and occasionally yoga & pilates. I like to walk and
take short hikes.
One of my favorite experiences was swimming with (and singing to) manatees two years ago in Homosasa Springs, Florida.
I have a bachelor's degree from Rhodes College (formerly Southwestern at Memphis) with a major in English and have also done advanced study at other institutions. There are a lot of things I'd still like to learn--math, physics, history for example, but I'm done with formal education.
Taste in music: eclectic, including classical, jazz, folk, blues, bluegrass, country, music of the fifties and sixties.
In my work I have used skills and training of a therapeutic musician (certified music practitioner, not music therapist) playing the folk harp for elder orphans and others, including those with dementia, in pain, and in the active dying process. I am an intermediate folk harp player, and I love to sing--energetially with friends around a piano or guitar and quietly with my own harp at the bedside of someone i care about.
I'll be most interested in someone who is intelligent and has curiosity about life, loves nature and being in it; has an adventurous spirit and a good streak of humility, enjoys both children and old people, is content to stay at home and also enjoys going out; enjoys physical movement--i.e., swimming, dancing, gardening, walking . . .
I'll be most interested if he really likes to read and does.
Thanks for reading this far. If your interest is piqued, send me an email.
What do you have to lose?

. I am a very busy person always doing something, involved in my community, I would like to meet a person who laughs a lot, fun loving and sincere. Someone who likes to dance in the rain so to say and have a full life. I would like to have someone to talk to, have dinner or go to a movie with and enjoy the same things. I laugh at almost anything and I love life. I love to watch my Grandchildren play sports, and want to stay involved in their lives. I may have to much energy, I am always on the go. I would like to slow down and enjoy the company of some one that likes the same things I do. I like most everything to eat except!!! poke salad!!!! I like to bowl , at one time I was a very good bowler with over 165 average. I like to help with Special Olympic, this is one of thing I am very passionate about.
I am thankful for good health and waking up every morning to a free world, to do as I please in the time frame I have left to do anything I want to and not have too.
I love the beach and the mountains. I love to ride down the Tennessee river on a boat , sight see, cook out or just throw out a fishing line.
I love church and social activities. Ilike to think that I live life to the fullest enjoying life at the time I am living it.

. I love pets, especially cats, and I am active in my church. I like people and can talk to anyone. I have a wonderful and close family and I am so blessed for that. I don't have any grandchildren or brothers or sisters. My parents are both deceased. I like people with a good sense of humor. Not serious all the time. I'm looking for someone to enjoy doing things with.

. Interested in a friend/companion. I am easy going, no fussing or nagging. Not a jealous person (regardless). Respect for others and being a kind person are traits I am looking for in a partner. Family is very important to me --- have a great relationship with my family - two sisters, one brother, three children, five grandsons and one granddaughter. I am somewhat adventurous and probably would not be a happy camper with a couch potato. ItРІР‚в„ўs good to work around the house and take care of the property. I enjoy being around cattle and would like helping out on a farm or ranch. My ideal match would be someone who enjoys spending time with his family and friends, balanced with our time together. Worked as an executive assistant on DoD contracts for a large IT systems company for 26 years. Retired . I have been a wannabe Texan since my first visit in 1999, so after I retired - moved to Texas for 14 months. Worked at wildflower and native grasses farm. Back to Alabama in 09; currently work part-time at farmers/flowers market. I would still be in Texas today, but my mother fell in 2007 and broke her leg/hip. My brother, two sisters and two sitters stayed with her 24/7. I was traveling back and forth from Junction to Huntsville (2,000 miles RT) every three weeks to do my part in taking care of Mother. I was emotionally and physically exhausted, moved back to Alabama. When I die, point my feet toward WEST TEXAS.

. I'm not your typical blonde. I do have a brain. I was born in England and have been in the USA since 1967. I came as a governess, taking care of 7 children. I later got married, toured the world with him and had three wonderful children. I was the manager of several companies, which I enjoyed but am now retired. I lived in New York most of my life and have now filtered down to Alabama and happily living with my middle son and his wife. I do miss New York but there isn't as much sunshine as Alabama and I'm a beach person. Can't get too much of the beach in Syracuse, New York! I'm looking for a friendship at this point. Someone to enjoy my interests. I enjoy all sports, especially football, basketball, lacrosse, golf and ice hockey. I'd like to travel, go out to dinner, take in a movie or theater. I like all kinds of music and love to read fiction (sometimes non-fiction if it attracts me).
I'm told I have a sunny disposition and am looking for someone who is honest, true and doesn't mind my chatter. I love to talk about my children and granchildren, so much so I believe it becomes bragging.

. I am not a high maintenance woman but I am a caring and loving woman. I believe that what goes around comes around. I want honesty in a person and a person that can be trusted. I love beautiful sunset and sunrises. I enjoy sitting on my patio listening to the birds singing. I am greatful for all the blessings that God has given. I am in great health and I thank God for this everyday.

. I'm a friendly person who likes the beach, dancing, movies, theatre, church, romantic dinners, staying active, working out and lively conversation. I'm slightly independent; self-employed and still working part-time. I would describe myself as romantic, genuine, fun, energetic, loyal, spontaneous and likes to laugh. My faith and family are important to me. I enjoy eating healthily. In January, I started working out 5 days a week (treadmill for an hour each day and add Nautilus every other day); really enjoy it! Just signed up for dance lessons.
