I am a pretty simple gal, very low maintenance and independent. I enjoy being with friends and family, cooking out, going to the beach or lake, watch movies and go antique shopping. Don't care for the nightclub scene...been there done that. I like to go to concerts or music festivals or sitting at an outdoor bar watching the sunset at the beach. If it's a rainy Sunday afternoon, there's nothing better than curling up on the couch with someone special and watching a good movie (or even a stupid one). Oh, and I LOVE Alabama football. (don't care much for pro football) I can dress up or dress down, depending upon the occasion. I'm a t-shirt and jeans type when I'm not working. I enjoy doing projects around the house. Guess you'd call me one of those do-it-yourself people. But I do know my limitations.
My match would be someone who has a sense of humor, is honest and enjoys the simple things in life. He would probably need to be kinda handy around the house because I am usually working on different projects. lol He would need to like or at least tolerate college football.

LOL I have a son 21 in pre-med in college and a daughter that is a Jr. in high school. They don't need me quite as much as they used to. Mixed feelings about that, sad and happy.
I love the beach, go as often as I can. Love just taking off and driving with the top down, whether cold or hot, to the mountains or south to the beach. I am very organized but love to just get up and go. I am a very optimistic person, love life, and everything that goes with it.
There is not much that I do not like. I love laughter and believe it can get us through it all. I like to see good in everything and everyone. God has given me many blessings for which I am most thankful.
However, did not bless me with the gift of writing about myself. This sounds awful, LOL My daughter had written on this a long time ago so I am now trying to redo. I have just moved back to this area and thought I would give this a try. I believe it is about my time to do some of the things I have always wanted to do. You are never too old to try to fulfill your dreams.
There are so many things I would like to do and know I will do them. It would be nice however, to have someone to enjoy and share these things with. I am a very independent person but that does not mean I wouldn't like someone in my life. My goal this year is to start traveling to the places I want to go, ummm

I love to travel, haven't seen much of the USA, lived overseas for 11 yrs w/oil co. But, there are still uncharted destinations I would love to visit (Costa Rica). I am an Army Brat and was fortunate enough to live in Germany during my middle school years, so I would love to see more of Europe as well. I enjoy antiquing, flea markets, old bookshops, Home Depot Expo, going to Home Shows, Boat Shows... I have 3 cats, my 4th and oldest ,19 yrs old, just passed away. I raise sugargliders, they are my biking and fishing buddies and no I don't use them for bait! I adore landscape work or anything to do with plants. I have done volunteer work for large exotic animal refuges, volunteer work with the elderly,I love older people as they are a wealth of history.
