Date someone special from Alabama, United States. I'm having a hard time thinking of ways to describe myself. I'm a writer by trade, but I've never had to describe myself in this situation so my creative juices aren't flowin' like they should....this is aggravating.
I guess I should start by saying that yes, I am a dork, I even have the glasses to prove it. I love to read, I can make even the dullest subjects sound exciting with my writing "skills", and I have had Star Wars and Indiana Jones marathons with my friends. Would it help though if I said the friends were both guys and girls and none of them have glasses like mine?
My level of "dork-ness" aside I should say that I am my father's daughter; I'm stubborn, sarcastic, competitive (sometimes without realizing it), quick-witted, awkward and above all I am a smart-ass. I come off as shy, especially if I do not know anybody, but that fades quickly once I get comfortable.
I was born and raised in the South. I don't know what that means to others across the US but for me it means three things: there is nothing more important than family and friends, manners are always required, and College Football is my second religion. During Football Saturdays I can be found in one of three places: Jordan-Hare Stadium, glued to my couch or glued to a bar-stool that belongs to the bar with the biggest TV. I get a little obsessed.
I'll do just about anything to make somebody laugh. I hate it when people are in a bad mood, so I make it hard for them to stay that way. My friends are not allowed to be sad/mad around me...they've tried, but believe me, it's not possible.
Other than that I should say that I love spending time with family and friends. I'm not a club girl; I'd rather play pool in Jeans and Heels than go dancing. I try to go out with my friends on the weekends but sometimes it's just nice to sit at home and watch movies, cook a meal together, or go out and do "Dinner and a Movie". I love to cook. I spent three years studying in a Chemistry Lab but changed majors to English; to me cooking is just like being back in the lab except I get to eat what I create. The only downside is that the food doesn't blow up like the chemicals did, but I'll get over it.
So basically I'm just looking for somebody that can handle my smart-ass comments, that doesn't mind me yelling at the TV, and will love me regardless of the state of my hair. I'm just a normal girl that gets pretty passionate about things. If you can relate to that and expect the same from me in return then I'm the girl for you.
