Date a woman from United States. let's see here... i'm a pretty fun gal who laughs a lot. i'm a bit of a goofball... and i am admittedly a little sarcastic. i have been snowboarding for quite a while. i also tele a little, xc ski, hike and mtn bike a bit. i like to visit new towns, meet new people or just walk the dogs and check everything out. even hitting the bowling alley on rainy days.
camping and river trips are up there on my fun list. my boys and i usually go camping a couple times a month once it warms up... we have this funky old 10' camper - it's a bit squished, but we have fun! it's how we roll. no global tours for a while (lucky you if you get to do it, though!)
i love most types of music. npr wakes me up every morning and then i switch over to pandora. my fav stations are: manu chao, english beat, classic country, the clash, white strips, etc. etc. i am also a HUGE fan of Alt.Latino podcasts - crazy good music there.
i just started to learn to play the guitar which is much harder than i thought it would be! holy cow, stevie ray vaughn!!! i can't believe i'm admitting this, but i also sort of play the accordion! yes, my friends do laugh at me!
what am i looking for? well, in one word: magnanimous.
and in more words: someone fun to hang out with, to go to the movies with, to ski with, or go check out some cool place i've never been. i have 2 awesome boys who are, and will always be #1. if you're not too into kids, it obviously isn't going to work out. i'm definitely not a game player. i like honesty and kindness. oh, and i don't need anyone who is TOO cool! - you've got to be able to laugh at yourself ('cause if you don't I will!)!
...and as for my "body type" - if there was a "CURVTHLETIC", that would be me! until they get that one on there, I'm calling myself "Average".
I guess I'll give you my deep-down likes and dislikes...
LIKES:
the health food store
natural/organic food
old-timey music (yes, even bluegrass!)
thrift stores
kids flicks
driving slow
old houses
old cars
DISLIKES:
plastic grocery bags
trash
grateful dead/widespread panic/bluegrass (the new kind)
mcdonalds, etc.
supersizing anything
crazy drivers
patchouli
!!!
Meet a soulmate from Truckee, United States. What am I doing here? I am craving people to do things with. To occupy my 'alone' time. Its coming to my attention that when people are in our 40's its hard. Everyone seems to have someone, and/or their kids. Which is great. But for us singlets, it can be, well, not that easy find a mate.
Think about this... It's a Tuesday night you are Hungry. Want something good, healthy and a half way decent conversation during your meal... What to do... You end up making a salad n bowl of protein and carbs for fuel. Boring at home, alone. I'm not saying we need to marry our date, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to call another single friend to eat and talk to?
Because that very encounter could create a relationship. Be it a friendship. A physical encounter and/or both.
Is their anything wrong with that???
I really enjoy doing couples things, and with groups, and if you have kids, doing kid stuff. Kids are so amazing when they are growing up.
Good relationships begin with good friendships. And that starts by meeting, sharing stories, making new experiences and memories, and with that comes a great friendship and maybe romance!
I have step kids, if you call them that. 20 and 22 year old boys. We don't get to talk much, they have their lives, but I adore them.
It is finally 'my time' to get out, and find my date. I am excited to meet people who share similar activities! And if not, learning new ones. I just got into stand up paddle-boarding, and love the freedom of 'walking on water'.
If you want to hang out and talk, walk, hike etc, let me know.. I am pretty free, free as I'll ever be.
My location is Sacramento to Truckee. I'll be spending the next year between the two.
Date a soulmate from United States. .From living in the shadows of the high rises of The Big Apple to finding peace in the shade of the mountains of Tahoe, I've finally found my perfect change of pace. For me, there's nothing like cycling along an alpine road with the company of the tall pine trees and crisp mountain air - I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
I prefer a great adventure to just following the beaten path and try to fill my life with as many unique experiences as possible. Whether I'm driving toward the coast for a day by the ocean, swimming in a lake training for the next triathlon or on my way to a seaside resort in beautiful Tofino, British Columbia, nature is where I find inspiration. But I crave fun nights out with friends too. Weekend trips to Napa for a sip of chardonnay and catching up over dinner and drinks at a local hot spot are always great ways to unwind from work. And of course, there's nothing like relaxing at home cozy by the fire enjoying a healthy, home cooked meal; my personal favorite is wild Alaskan salmon with organic greens, but put a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie in front of me and that all goes out the window. What's life without a little indulgence?
I'm looking for a passionate and stable man who shares my enthusiasm for healthy living and athletic adventures. You are honest and kind and ready for a legendary romantic adventure that lasts forever.
Meet someone special from United States. Very caring, fun, outgoing person. Love to laugh and enjoy the smallest things in life. Great job and own my own home. I moved to the mountains on my own a few years ago with my two awesome children, whom I take good care of. I love the outdoors and indoors as well. It is absolutely beautiful up here and I would like to meet somebody to enjoy this with. I like to take my boat out as much as possible in the summer, motorcross ride when I find someone with a dirt bike to ride with me, camp, snow ski, and enjoy outdoor concerts. I like country music, classic rock and blues.
Looking for somebody who values family, friends, and their health.
Life is to short to not enjoy it to the fullest!

Meet a soulmate from United States. I am a pretty simple girl with few obligations. I regrettably have no family members within 3 states of me, I have a great group of friends but they are all girls. I work long hours, have mid week off so my opportunities to meet and mingle with guys is limited. I don't go to bars or nightclubs. It would be wonderful to meet someone who values a real, honest, committed relationship. Chemistry and compatibility, respect and acceptance, non judgmental would be really cool. One that encourages growth, and where we listen to each other. Trust and honesty essential. And laughter. I am looking for a partner for life and am not interested in casual dating. I want to do things together, travel, cook meals, be part of each other's lives. I want the best relationship that there can possibly be. And beyond.
My dreams include RVing, visiting national parks and staying in the Lodges there, hiking by day and then having a wonderful conversation by the great fireplaces. Travel with friends. My ideal vacation is re tracing the Lewis and Clark trail. I would love to go back to Europe, especially on a light biking tour of Italy, taking in cooking workshops or a walking tour somewhere. Exercise is a wonderful thing.
I love historical places, Washington DC, Civil War battlefields, and any place that has a story to tell. I don't watch alot of tv but when I do it is the history channel or HGTV. I have a passion for the outdoors and natural resources. I love to go on day hikes and overnight trips in the local area to see what's around me.
It doesn't matter what my partner looks like or what he does, as long as he is positive and happy and passionate about what he does. Hopefully he is not into drama, has no serious debt, and is not afraid of emotion.
As far as the wink thing, it's always better to e mail. I get alot of 'wink and run' type of activity and I don't understand that. So we can meet in cyberspace first, see if we have things in common and take it from there. In any case, bets of luck to all you guys out there-
Date someone special from California, United States. I've lost TWO already in life..86'& 07! Meet someone special from United States. I am a pretty adventurous woman and enjoy the simple things in life. I love feeling as though I'm going where no one has gone before. I’ve got a great life filled with great family and friends – now I’m just looking for a partner to share these incredible experiences with. What about the long-term? If that’s where it goes, great, but I’m into developing a mutually enriching friendship, and that includes time spent with the other people and activities in our lives that enrich us. I’m a very honest and straightforward person and expect the same in return. I am very sarcastic and love to laugh and would do best with a man who shares my sense of humor. Beyond the obvious physical attraction, the things that are important to me are respect for family, respect for me and a generous heart and spirit, along with confidence and joy for life. If that sounds like you, give a "wink!"
Date a woman from United States. I have been at my job over twenty years, I am stable, family oriented. work fourty hours a week love to get out and do things on my wekends not so much the homebody.
My date would be a man that puts family first, loves dogs I only have one he is older but he is the love of my life and my baby, looking for someone to go enjoy life with do things not just stay home all the time. Loves camping, fishing, four wheeling and exploring new places going to dinner or brunch now and then but is willing to start as friends doing things together I dont mind paying my own way. I would love to have someone to do things with.
My date must be financially stable, by that I mean if you are not gainfully employed or financially set then do not bother as I work hard for my money and chose not to support a man.
A sense of humor whold be awesome. Lets go out and explore new places and things and just have a great time!
I am new at this online match thing. I speak my mind, can be a little bit on the wild side now and then but am a Grandma and young enough to enjoy them. Would eventually like to end up with my soul mate, I am a one man woman so for now just looking for friends like doing things as a couple instead of the third wheel thing.
. I am a person who is involved in my community through work and volunteer activities. I have many interests ranging from music to sports to the outdoors and travel. I would hope that my perfect match be a multi-faceted person with perhaps some interests that overlap mine, along with being a secure and kind human being with an adventurous spirit.
. I am a 54 year old single woman. I concider myself in good shape and am in good health. I love going for long hikes in the Sierra's with my dog. I love the sun and being tan. I work hard and enjoy my days off.
. I am fun-loving, active, intelligent and independent. I can participate in any conversation that spurs my interests (if you are empassioned about a subject- you've got my interest!) and I'm always ready for the next adventure. Whether it be you or what you love to do.
Lots of times, there is a criteria for what we are looking for in a significant other. I do have a criteria but it isn't set in stone. It is constant but it is constantly changing as well. I'm looking for that person who enjoys time alone but more importantly would like to share that sunset with someone else or that movie. Relationships take time and I'm in for the long haul.
My passions include my family (2 young, independent adults following their own paths); my dog (who will follow any path); the outdoors (my oxygen); humanity (life's awe and wonder): music, dance and other simple pleasures.
So, what do you say in "taking chances?".....Let's walk or hike or snowshoe or ski and see!.
