. Widow for 11 yrs. Enjoy eating out, going to movies or plays, visiting friends and family. Love to travel, would love to see all of the U.S.. I worked 32 years at LLNL in Livermore, retired in 2001 and returned part-time for a couple of years.. I am trying to be a better gardener but not doing too well (should be easy but for some reason, it isn't). Thought I had enough experience because my parents were farmers when they were young and we always had a garden and fruit trees and flowers, lots of flowers. When I graduated from high school in Southern CA., I got my first real job in Los Angeles. I've made many trips to OK because that is where I was born and have many relatives there. Only one aunt still alive but there are many cousins. I have one sister and she lives in Southern CA with her husband and three dogs.
What do I want in a partner: Everything. I especially want somone who is honest (most important to me) and we would enjoy each others company whether we were sitting in our family room, going for a walk or just visiting friends and family. I love holding onto my man's arm when we are walking or just holding hands. I don't think I want to get married again, just want someone who would enjoy my company as much as I would enjoy his.
Things I would like to do. Okay, eat out (I have done lots of cooking in years past but not so eager to cook anymore; besides, both of my sons can outcook me, even my daughters can). I like all kinds of food, movies, plays, music, watching TV, making new friends, going new places, just totally enjoying each other's company. Travel, or did I say that already. Camping even sounds like fun but it has been years since I have done that. Cooking outside (whether backyard or camping) is the men's job, I'll do the dishes and help in the preparations for the meal.
I truly miss having a companion and hope that someone out there feels the same way that I do.
