Date people from California, United States. I am a city boy and I love everything San Francisco has to offer. I am not “Born and Bred”, my native friends won’t let me forget that I didn’t go to High School In SF and I can never be a Native, no matter how long I live here. I have more than one Tuxedo in the closet, but I am not afraid to get dirty. I am more often in 501’s than ties, but I know how to tie a Full Windsor and a Bow Tie. On Fridays I wear Aloha Shirts, Some of questionable taste. I can fix most things when they break. I rarely get lost in or out of the City, though I may have to turn the radio down.
I never watch sports on TV, but I do love John Stewart, Steven Colbert, Bill Maher, HBO, IFC and the Sundance Channel. I still play with cars, I love to drive, a cross country road adventure, a day trip in the country or a quick jaunt across town. I like art museums, The Ballet, Golden Gate Park, Chrissy Fields or anyplace I can take my dog. I am just as happy to be home by the fire on a rainy day, but enjoy going out to partake in what the world has to offer.
At this point in my life, my job in no longer my priority. I like what I do, but a wise man told me, that “on their death bed, No one has ever said, I should have spent more time at the office”. My job allows me to have the time and money to do things I like and build relationships with people that I like. My priority today is to spend time with the people I like to be with, not work. Work is work, but it is just what I do and not who I am. Today I want to have fun. I want to do things that are enjoyable. I am not afraid to sweat, I will work for fun, as long as it is enjoyable.
I am looking for someone who wants share things with me. Someone who is comfortable and complete as they are, but wants more. I am just fine all by myself, but I want more. Are you complete? Are you fine as you are? Do you want more? Are you someone who can teach me new things, take me to new places. Someone who likes coming with me to do things they have never been to or done before? There is so much I don’t know. The more I learn the more I realize how little I do know. I have been told I am very teachable, What can you teach me?

I grew up in the Richmond and Mission Districts, and currently live within blocks of Ocean Beach. I work in the health care field, and have been for the last 25 years, but am currently contemplating retirement. I currently work as a Clinical Lab Scientist at a local hospital. Anyone else who works in health care already knows what that means. It means I care. My favorite coffee house is Java Beach where the coffee is good and the muffins are better. I work with premature babies and term babies that are critically ill. My work, and the nurses I work with, are both very important to me. I like going for walks along the beach and watching the sun set on the water. I am content to stay inside or enjoy the outdoors. I have a passion for online poker (I spend a fair bit of free time perfecting this skill) as well as a small population of video games, and have recently renewed an interest in chess. My favorite music is country (Alabama) or folk (PP&M, Kate Wolf, Gordon Lightfoot). I also like certain songs by certain artists such as Drift Away by Dobie Grey, and recently found a country/folk/bluegrass singer, Gillian Wells. I am caring, sensitive, a good listener, a bit on the shy side. It can take a while to get to know me' but I know I'm well worth the effort. My latest passion has been for life itself.
