I find profuse and profound beauty in life because of a college art history class I took many years ago. I fell in love with the subject because art also reflects human history, which I cannot get enough of. I visited the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) during this time. I came across an old, used pipe wrentch mounted in a plexiglass case on the wall. The placard underneath it said it was owned by a plumber who used it in his trade.
I walked away thinking, that was stupid. Then I had an "a-ha" moment. The tool had its own design and purpose. And there was a whole story behind the plumber who used it.
I now see that anything or anyone can be a work of art and beauty with a story to tell. I see life totally differently now. I get thrilled when I allow my senses to focus on what I'm experiencing in the moment. It has helped me become much more sensual--I get overloaded sometimes like when I looked for the first time into the Grand Canyon or had a fireball meteor streak across the dark night sky or saw a couple in love during their wedding or a woman who knows how to stylishly dress for her man.
