I have worked in the outdoor/active apparel industry for 15 years - allowing me to live in Oregon, Tahoe, San Diego and Marin. I work for a great company that is extremely successful in this industry. I am lucky.
I enjoy Mt. Tam everyday either running or on my bike. But I definitely have the itch to travel and would love to pack it up and move to Europe for six months.

With regard to the other, more important criteria? I grew up in the midwest, moved to California 20 years ago, and am a combination of good fun and good common sense. I love the outdoors. I love children and animals (have both). I enjoy most cultural experiences and do enjoy putting on a fabulous dress and being social at such venues. At the same time, I can hike for miles, take a yoga class, go to any sports event or ride a horse for hours.
My ideal partner is warm, passionate, tall, successful, handsome, and confident. He has a good sense of humor and loves children. He loves being home with me, travelling, attending an occasional social event, and is open to other ideas and venues. He lives in northern California and plans on being here for the long term. Date someone special from United States. I have lived in the Mill Valley area for over 12 years... I am originally from the East Coast (NJ) but Marin has become my home. Growing up in very close proximity to New York City, I had the privilege to take advantage of what "The City" has to offer and lived there for approximately 10 years after college. I worked in the fragrance/fashion industry for close to 15 years on the corporate end. I had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the U.S. and beyond with my job (Cabo, Puerto Rico, Whistler, B.C.). I've also been to Bermuda, Cancun and the Bahamas. I try to spend approximately three weeks with my family back east over Christmas (if possible) and another three weeks in Vermont/Cape Cod during the summer. I would love to go to Europe, Australia and Africa some day. Paris, London and Italy to start. I still haven't been to Hawaii or Tahoe. Sad but true. Though I have yet to travel the world, I know who I am and where I have been. You can dress me up ("black tie") or dress me down ("hole in the wall") and I am as equally comfortable. I can never have enough sexy jeans and I love my shoes! I don't typically wear much make-up, but I never leave home without my lipstick or gloss. Though I relish in helping others, I often find it difficult to ask for help.
Honesty is key, and, for me, real intimacy in any relationship is based on trust. I don't believe in coincidences, yet, I find that everything happens for a reason. I still want the dream (whatever that may be). I just won't know until I am in it!
After almost 13 years marriage, it's time for me to move on. We have a wonderful 9 year old daughter who brings us both incredible joy. For that reason, among others, I am forever grateful.

After many years of dedicating myself to school, having kids, and a husband, I have realized that I do not have a deep connection with anyone outside my immediate family. And, no, I do not have a personality disorder that would preclude long-term relationships. I have to confess that it has never been a huge priority for me but I am reconsidering this now that I am divorced and sometimes crave having meaningful discussions with people other than the patients I have treated and my family. I am inclined to sit in front of a computer to learn about the stock market as this is a world that it is opening up to me and turns me on. I don't know why as I have associated that type of interest with masculinity and I have been a girly girl for much of my life which includes caring about my general appearance and, yes, I want to be beautiful.

My favorite thing to do with friends or partner is going out to a leisurely meal at a nice restaurant. Add a bottle of wine, and to me, that’s a great evening. I don’t do a lot of nightlife, but when I do, enjoy listening to live music in small, dark venues. I love comedy and every now and then I’ll see a play in SF. I love movies, though tend to prefer foreign or indie films – especially the ones that you’re still thinking about when you wake up the next morning. A hike in Marin on a beautiful day followed by margaritas at the Cantina can’t be beat. I cook, and try to make a new recipe once a week. Some of my best dishes are linguine w/clams, salmon, risotto, and chana masala (Indian.)
I have family close-by and see them often. I am lucky to still have a few friends from high school and college. My circle of friends is important to me, and I work hard to be the best friend I can be.

I make a living with words and pictures because I love hearing and telling stories and looking closely at life. My days are happily independent of an office -- I work at home or at the library for part of each day, and then usually find my way to something outdoors, either walking the trails or on farms and ranches. I also get to ride for the park service as a volunteer and take care of four horses at a small stable in the Marin Headlands. I grew up in the Midwest, and I have a close family and great friends. I love all the Bay Area has to offer -- I can appreciate a night out in SF, and can also be found hearing music at the Mystic in Petaluma, kayaking, hiking Mt. I once flew a high performance 1-36 glider in formation with a heavy callair. I love to run my fingers through a man's hair, make people laugh and smile (my favorite) and I have a lifetime of funny stories to tell. Many have told me that I remind them of Meg Ryan a little. Isn't that sweet?
My flaws: ( I am working on them) I am just a tiny bit like Charlie Chaplin on a golf course, make terrible coffee and still can't surf... I sometimes pull an all nighter reading and camels instinctively hate me.
I love to nurture, surprise and support. I roll with it when someone has a bad experience and will invite myself to your pity party for a little while, and hope for same. However, I never have a "bad day", there is always so much good even in the bad, and I am forever grateful - living in a 3rd world country did that for me. If you adore me, nurture me and love me well, ONE way I respond is by cooking and baking...I do that when I'm happy, and except for coffee I do quite well. I pick up languages rather quickly and enjoy it and I have a bucket list.
I don't have any photos really, I was always the photographer. My hair is curly and shoulder length right now, it was up in a french twist with pins in this photograph. I plan to get photos done soon! I am a unique lady...have elegant nails, yet garden and work at the zoo. I love flowers and lace and yet get all excited about a powerful engine such as an FA-18, a mustang, or a snowmobile. I drive extremely well......and sometimes fast. I have a small belly and the palms of my hands are sensitive.
I am old fashioned in that I love for a man to be a gentleman and open doors etc. and in exchange I love to thank him with sweet kisses. However I am liberal in other ways. I am NOT about judging, gossip, drama or arguing...however I do enjoy thoughtful discussion. I spent time in other Countries, including Morocco (2 years) and so understand a little about culture and people...and I am eternally grateful for the experiences.
I think that what makes any relationship work is respect, humility, the desire to listen and always.., to go for the solution that works. I am a win/win kind of girl in any scenario and like to calmly focus on resolution and behavior modification..and then move on with love and respect.
