Date people from United States. One great thing about having life experience is is knowing yourself--what you need and what works. I'm a hard-working woman who is employed with a big corporation--which includes a big schedule. One aspect of my life that needs changing is to re-prioritize my life to have less work and more of a balance of my time. Right now--it's pretty much dash and crash.
I eat right and exercise regularly. Some people at work love to tease me and say that I must have been born in high heels--but, really; it's just a rumor;-). I actually love my jeans on weekends, and like to kick back, browse the farmer's market or go hiking and appreciate nature. I love dressing up and dining out by candlelight, but my friends and family usually end up at my house for large dinners on holidays (come to think of it--any excuse for me--not them--to cook).
I'm originally from New York, living in and around the metropolitan area, most recently in beautiful Princeton, NJ, until I made the big move to the Bay Area over 10 years ago. Now I'd say that I'm fond of both areas, each for very different reasons. New York is my hometown, although No. California can't be beat for its natural beauty. Sometimes it still takes my breath away...
I'm very at ease in social situations, connect easily with people and am energized by my realtionships with family and friends. I have two wonderful grown sons who are on their own now, but we're very close and enjoy each other's company. Having children at a young age quickly taught me that it's not 'all about me' and my children have brought levity and joy into my life.
Which brings me to the "now" chapter of my life.
I'm looking for a man who appreciates the arts, ballet and concerts; but has a range of cultural and musical tastes. I'd prefer a professional guy who is first and foremost thoughtful, then intelligent, educated, urbane, sophisticated, loyal, but has no trouble laughing at himself. It's important to me to have someone in my life with a great sense of houmor, and a great capacity to care. He would be a responsible, well-read, one-woman-man who possesses clarity of who he is and the confidence to express it. Someone a tad traditional but not the least bit boring, sappy or self-important.
