Date someone special from Malibu, United States. I must say that I've met some lovely women here in the past. Several of which have become good friends. Still, I've yet to meet the one I'll miss, the moment she walks out of the room. Sure, I've had to make a few "I'm sorry, you're great but.." calls. And received a couple myself. But that's okay. Better to be (tactfully) honest early on, then to play games and waste someone's time. Or worse yet, to hurt them along the way. Am I seeking perfection? Not a chance, as I can't offer perfection in return. I'd like to think of myself as caring and compassionate. I am also extremely passionate....with those who I care for and about things in life that I believe in. I would like to meet someone who has the same sort of sensibilities. Someone who is bright, informed and concerned about what's going on in the world. One who is attractive on the outside and beautiful within, romantic, affectionate (a kiss in a crowded room, just because), with style and grace and who enjoys being a woman. My perception of an ideal relationship is one where we can share and enjoy our mutual interests, yet allow each other the freedom to pursue those things that interest them alone. Where the dialogue is not judgmental but spirited nevertheless. A relationship where affection and intimacy come naturally, out of a mutual desire, caring and respect for one another. And yes, I'm a hopeless romantic. So....only hopeful romantics need reply. Oh...and please have a reasonably current photo and NO winks. I'd much rather read your thoughtful words. Physical attraction aside (for the moment), I find intellect to be a very sexy attribute.
Meet a man from Malibu, United States. I am a tall reserved friendly person with a conservative approach to life. I have a BS in Mechanicanl Engineering amd a Law Degree. I spent 30 years with a big downtown law firm but no I am semi retired working out of my own law firm mostly pro bono. I am looking for a tall ( at least 5'10" but 6' would be better) friendly interestirsting, intelligent down to earth attractive lady to do activities which will enrich both of our lives.
Date a soulmate from Malibu, United States. I'll start with laughter because then everything else starts to make sense. My adjectives: eclectic, electric, energetic, eccentric -- the arts, dancing, music (blues, R&B, jazz), books, news, France, a visit to Havana while Castro can still host, the sea, a smile. I live at the beach in Malibu, practice law on a non-regular basis, and am a serious student of the stock market (not exactly for the faint of heart, but I pretend like I know what I am doing). If the throb of the hopeless romantic is anticipation, as said Fitzgerald, I guess I'm that. I am financially fit, but materialism becomes increasingly less important. I dote on my thirteen-year old dog who lost her front leg in a car accident as a pup . . . but doesn't know it. Someone who loves humor and life's curiosities.. Who doesn't take herself, or life for that matter, too seriously (but doesn't miss a beat). A sense of all creatures, big and small. The Quest? An exquisite someone to wander with . . . forever.
Meet a man from Malibu, United States. I am an educated semi retired professional who now works on only projects that I find interesting. I do a great deal of charity work in that I fly sick children from the bay area on the north to Las Vegas on the east & San Diego on the boarder to UCLA hospital for treatment. Usually these are kids of troops that are overseas. Keeps me busy & makes me feel real good. If you meet me you'll find that I am an athlete that has aged somewhat but still very much in the game.
I've been a very lucky guy all my life & am very greatfull for all of the many good things that have happened to me including my family & friends. I am most attracted to a business woman. However, my deceased wife was a physcologist for 34 years. Very smart folks really make a difference for me.
Date someone special from United States. I am a lawyer, hiker and photographer who is looking for one lovely, very special woman with whom to spend the rest of my life, have fun, and marry. I believe she is somewhere in this world, but God only knows where—and seemingly VERY difficult to find.
The qualities that I am looking for are: honest and trustworthy; natural with no phoniness; intelligent; religious, with common sense and a good sense of humor; not too materialistic; sensuous and who can love deeply and hopefully forever; loves kids; and not an alcoholic or a drug addict of any kind (e.g., prescription drugs). In your 50s or early 60s ideally.
I have traveled extensively in the continental U.S., Europe, Ireland, England, Scotland, Canada, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, part of Mexico, and the Hawaiian Islands, and love all of them as well as the people. Among other things, I have covered Western Europe from one end to the other; and I have made 12 trips to Ireland, spending 2-3 weeks at a time there.
Hiking is my principal hobby these days; I spent time studying photography with Ansel Adams before he died; I have owned 3 fishing boats and a small sailboat, and fished for years in tournaments and just for fun; and I play golf and tennis, swim and love to dance—if I can find someone with whom to dance.
I am my own boss and my time is my own, except for deadlines that are present at times. I have been a lawyer for years, and I am a nationally-recognized expert in a sector of American banking law, and I write political articles for fun too.
I was born and raised in West Los Angeles. I attended the University of California, Santa Barbara; and I received a bachelor’s degree from UCLA in economics, and two law degrees, one from Berkeley and another from Georgetown.
My father was of German ancestry who came to the U.S. in 1849 from Rottweil near Stuttgart, a husband and wife who were Catholics and had 16 kids. They settled south of Minneapolis. My maternal grandfather was a Scot (my middle name is “Duncan,” which was my mother’s maiden name); and my maternal grandmother was Irish, whose ancestor came from County Meath in 1850. Other ancestors first came to America around 1760.
I worked in national politics for many years, and still follow it closely, for fun and work. I read books about politics, Alexander the Great (who probably influenced world history more than anyone except Jesus), watch TV and listen to Bach and other music.
With respect to religion, I had essentially a "near-death" experience some years ago, similar to what others have described, during which I experienced God . . . as an intense bright light at the end of a tunnel, and as Infinite Intelligence of which our own intelligence is merely a part. God was neither masculine nor feminine. My mother had died months before it happened, and I felt a sense that she was there too.
From that moment forward, I have never doubted that God exists, or that God created everything—heaven and earth and everything in between. However, I continually seek to understand how God operates in my life, on a day-to-day basis. The closest I have come is my belief that God acts through us as faith, inspiration, prayer, miracles, and perhaps most of all, love. I believe that in expressing love, each of us is God in expression.
Finally, these days I live a much simpler life than I have in the past, and I like it.
Meet single man from United States. Each of us is unique and the challenge is to try to find our soul mate. I am comfortable with myself and with the people that I choose to be with. I am by all standards one of the last good guys who does not cheat, lie or steal. Honesty and integrity are one of my strongest features, The perfect match has similar qualities, educated, bright, witty, attractive and sensitive to the feelings of others. A great smile and eyes to bury my soul in. I am a Yankee born and raised, conservative by nature and don't take anything for granted. Neil Diamond said "You don't bring me flowers anymore" My goal is to keep the flowers comming" . I love the sea and all that it has to offer. I can be a bard with verse and ryme. My soul in a past life must have been a sea going man, "Pirate?" with wit and ryme destined to roam the seven seas in search of you.
The picture was taken Sept. 2010 and August 2011.(They are real, I have more energy than five guys at half my age.
