I love live music and am always in pursuit of a passionate, honest performance. I make sure to take in a live show at least once every month. I lean a little heavy (Joe Satriani, Soundgarden, Alter Bridge) but I have seen Adele, Sara Bareilles (no, they weren't dates, i love their music) & Tommy Emmanuel. I have 4 incredible, responsible boys, 9-18 years old, that make everyday a treat. Believe it or not, life is pretty smooth with them. We have a fun, peaceful and respectful home. They keep me young and help me realize that there is always something to look forward to and a new way to appreciate this world. We have a house full of musicians and there is nothing like an afternoon of tunes belted out with my boys. My boys are with me half of the time and I treasure those times but I do have my own free time to pursue my own space.
I think life should be fun and not taken too seriously. Responsibilities need to be fulfilled but there also needs to be time to run through sprinklers, throw snowballs and laugh at the world around us.
I am happy with my life and very comfortable with who I have become. I stand quite well on my own and am looking for someone who does the same.

Date a soulmate from United States. I am recently separate farther of 3 (who live with me) with very little free time. It has been far too long since I visited bars and such and really do not have the interest to do so (except maybe to hang out and enjoy some music) so I thought I would try this site and see what comes of it. Because I am readjusting to being single and add to that being a full-time Dad, I am not exactly looking for something permanent at this very moment. No this does not mean I am looking for a One Night Stand or casual fling, but if you are interested in getting to know each other, seeing if there is something that can be taken further and understand that I have my kids and work that I devote a good portion of time to, then please take time to chat with me. if you are really interested then my ideal night out would be going out for good food, enjoying a great conversation about almost anything, have a couple of drinks and go see a movie, or paring that meet up at a coffee shop. I am always a sucker for a Cafe Mocha.
As for myself, I am somewhat taller than average (standing 6'4") and yes I am overweight and no I do not plan on staying this way, I am working my way back to my "fighting weight" so to speak. Now don't get me wrong, I have never, ever been skinny, I simply do not have the body structure for that but I do have work to do to get to Stocky (where I belong).
The other prominent trait I have is my humor. It's a mixture of corny puns, sarcastic comments and insight into the craziness we all live in. I am often referred to as a smart-butt (sorry but censoring preventing me from using the true form of the word) and in the most sarcastic tone I can conjure up I will typically reply "Well of course my butt is smart, it went to school with me". That's me in a nutshell.
Add to all this, I tend to be brutally honest. I tell it like I see it. I am not rude or crass about it but I still do not hide the facts as I see them. I also expect this with someone who I am with. Tell me what is on your mind, if I don't like what you have to say then I will tell ya but I will not hold it against you. This is by no means to say that I am a saint and I never tell a lie, but typically I don't want to bother with lying, it can be very draining.

I've never owned a Ferrari or Italian suit. My car is one year old and I dress well enough...French cut ok? I don't have six pack abs but I'm trim and fit. I bathe regularly and try to take good care of my teeth (you've got to love that!). Work out occasionally and will more with a good friend. Can't dance, perhaps you can teach me? Still with me? Read on...Perhaps just coffee, lunch, dinner, or a drink with some good conversation? I like taking walks and going to the movies. A museum or a park is terrific. Browsing a book store (if you can find one) is fun. Driving to a new place, listening to some new music, eating a new food, and what's wrong with cuddling up on the couch with a glass of wine and some soft music? Did i just say "cuddling"? Television: Documentaries on Public TV, South Park, Futurama, The Simpsons (though not lately), old SNL, Seinfeld, X-Files, Colbert, and Daily Show. - however, I must admit I don't watch TV much anymore.
Food: A medium rare steak with a good pinot, sushi (any time, any place) with warm sake, oyster shooters, a messy burger (Clarks in Mountain View is the best) with a cold dark beer, Pho, Indian, Thai, Italian, and yes vegetarian.
