Meet single girl from Chico, United States. Most of my friends would describe me as easy going and quick to laugh, but I tend to be shy at first. I guess that's why I'm trying this out. I'm surrounded by students and my own teachers at work- and neither of those make a good option for dating. So my co-worker and I decided to give this a whirl and see what turns up!
I like to stay busy most of the time, I've always worked a lot and gone to school. Although there is something to be said for taking time out and relaxing, smelling the roses, listening to some music... whatever gets you going. For me that means hanging out with good people and good conversation, with some laughs too of course. I also like to kill time by crafting or testing out my artsy side, although I'm no where near Martha Stewart status. My favorite "at home" activity is cooking and entertaining. I love all sorts of food and I'm always trying to make something natural, healthy, and preferably from scratch. But I can only force my roommates to eat so much.
I've always thought if something was worth doing, you might as well do it with music playing. I can't stand too much silence. My music taste is pretty eclectic, my three favorites are Metallica, Dolly Parton, and The Black Keys. But what I probably listen to most is classic rock, reggae, indie rock, hip-hop and classic country. I could even listen to classical IF I had to.
I'm currently working my way through the Communication Studies Masters program at CSU, Chico and will hopefully end up teaching at a nearby community college. When I'm not at school I'm usually hanging out with friends, enjoying downtown Chico, or cooking up new things with my roommates. I like to go out, but couldn't be happier than watching the Giants game with a beer or watching Fight Club (my favorite movie) for the 1324th time.
