Over the years I have become busy with work and I have found little time to socialize. I love my job and it often has many challenges, but it is very rewarding. I have nearly 14 year-old twin boys starting in 9th grade this Fall who keep me busy with homework, swim team, soccer and I love them dearly. But I really enjoy getting away from them now and again!! I definitely need time for myself to be the best Mom I can be. I have them 50% of the time, every other week, and it works out well. They are both mildly autistic. Their diagnosis is PDD-NOS, google it for more info. It is also known as high-functioning autism. They are not severely disabled and I feel they will be able to live on their own as adults.
Born and raised in Ohio, I am a small-town mid-western girl. I've lived in California since 1994 and I absolutely love it. The different people and cultures are so interesting. I love the weather and the geographic variety that is so easily accessible, i.e. beach, mountains, desert, vineyards, valley.
I enjoy education and learning and I like to learn new things. I am an artist and a photographer. The creative side of me sees the world differently than others and I like that about myself, how it makes me unique.

I love riding motorcycles and I have my own helmet. It's so cute! It's black with a pink racing stripe and has a pink and white Harley shield on the front. I know how to drive motorcycles too, but it's been years!

Current status: My husband ended our 29-yr marriage in June 2010 (he had an affair with a co-worker and chose her over me) and I have been separated since then. It's something I never expected but I am loving my new life as a single parent living in a very nice rental home. I filed papers in November 2010, we are currently stalling on finalizing the divorce so I can still have health coverage through his job. We are amicable and there is no drama from him. We are both doing a good job of co-parenting our boys.
I'm not looking for someone to support me or for a new Dad for my boys.
