About me:
As a born and raised "New Englander" I tend to be more upfront than most in the South, but as a "Da_n Yankee" (one that has moved South and stayed) and working for the public, I have learned to hold my tongue, smile and say "Bless her heart!" I am not the typical female, and prefer to be drama free. I'm not the type to nag, talk on the phone, gossip, or chase after men (I might give you a wink, but believe if you are interested than you'll contact me). I love to laugh and since I tend to be clumsy I'm often laughing at myself. I also enjoy volunteering whether it be at church, at the soup kitchen, or for any of my daughter's many activities.
I'm interested in finding a companion who enjoys life and is not controlling or angry. Someone who is blunt enough to tell me I have food in my teeth, but compassionate enough to listen. Someone who is not interested in meeting women for a hook-up, but someone who truly wants to build a relationship and share life. There are so many activities that I enjoy, and like most people these days, I have a bucket list of things I want to try. . Like the rest of you, I'm looking for that perfect companion. The one I can spend time with enjoying each other's company whether we're watching tv, going for a walk, spending time with friends or our children. I am a graduate of Alabama and therefore an avid fan who is involved with the local alumni chapter. I enjoy volunteer ushering for the Broadway Theater League and seeing their shows. I also like working outside in the yard, taking walks along Aldridge Creek or the Mad Co Nature Trail on Green Mtn, shooting hoops or throwing a football with my son, and halping my daughter with gymnastics. I try to get in at least 30 min of cardio/daly and hope to find someone who will want to join me in my walks or whatever cardio I'm doing as well as weight training. I am looking for someone who is honest, trustworthy, and knows how to communicate. These are essential traits to a relationship.I want to find someone to have good conversations with, philosophical debates, filled in with plenty of laughs. I'm easy-going, adaptable, and enjoy the company of others (social butterfly?).
