Children are a big part of my life, I am a teacher and moved back to Alabama so that I could be near my niece and nephew. So kids are a must for the future!

I try to work out several times a week; either a video (Biggest Loser rocks!) or walking/running. Trying to manintain a former cheerleader's figure!
The last concert I went to was Rascal Flats in Birmingham, but I like anything from Black Eyed Peas to Lady A. In Orlando I enjoyed going to House of Blues or local wine bars to listen to live music, but haven't found "my place" in Huntsville with the same scene.

. I just moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to the great city of Birmingham. While I am still getting used to the culture shock associated with living in the South, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences so far. As I settle down with my new job, I am hoping to meet people that would like to help me transition into an area where I virtually know few and would like to show me around Birmingham. I love going out to dinner, wine tasting, any sporting event and traveling. I have played sports my entire life and still find myself to be somewhat competitive. . I am a divorced mother of 2 boys ages 10 and 8. They are my life and what makes my world go round. I am not looking for a husband or a father. Anything from kayaking, camping, hiking, swimming, you name it, ill do it..I love college football and ofcourse Alabama!! I am currently playing on a co-ed softball team.. I have been married 3 times, yes i know thats alot for someone my age, so let me explain. I was married at 19 for 7 years to the father of my children. If we were awake we were fighting. I dont like to fight and I am not going too. I grew up in a house where I watched my father degrade my mom, keep her secluded from friends and family, and just plain treated her like crap.So what I guess I am saying is I am not going to put up with the same crap that she had to. I am an independant woman. I can handle most anything and anyone on my own. I do not like to be told what to do and I certainly wont be mistreated. Which leads me to marriage #2. After my divorce i moved to a new city and started dating a guy i met. He was a cop. He had a son the same age as my oldest. At first there were some trust issues, on his part not mine, that had to be corrected. We dated for 2 1/2 yrs got married and only stayed married for 1 1/2 yrs. Our main problem was that he and my oldest son could not get along. He mistreated him and I could not allow that. The one thing anyone who contacts me must realize is that my kids are my world. They were here first and will be here if/when you leave. After that divorce, i was very hesitant about even dating. I met someone and everything seem to be perfect. Well needless to say we dated, we got married, and then I never saw him. He worked out of town in Mississippi and I was at home alone with my boys and his kids with noone around that i knew. Again, there was a trust issue with a highschool friend so he says. He was going through an ugly custody battle with his ex which made my life HELL. My philosophy is that if i am going to have to be home alone then i might as well be alone back in my city with my freinds and family and people that i know and love. In all of my marriages I was the one who took care of everything. I made sure everything was handled. I just want someone who has the time and is willing to take care of me for a change, and i dont mean financially. I work a full time job that i love. You must love children since I have my boys 99% of their time. If by now you havent run for the hills, hit me up...
