Date a soulmate from Alabama, United States. I am a thirty "cough cough" year old in the San Francisco East Bay. I work in Human Resources in the Healthcare industry. Forgive me that my profile may be a little incomplete, I just signed up and I want to think this through. But let me start with that I am looking for a best friend with who I can share in life's adventures.
I am passionate about being outdoors (backpacking, hiking, camping, snowshoeing), I am a bit of a news junkie, and I concern myself with trying to find out something about eveything. I like to travel and it used to be my defining quality, however, as I am sure you have found out as well that the older you get, the more responsibilites you have.
I have a small dog for whom I'd move mountains. I am also passionate about cheese, Coke Zero, driving, and trying (almost) anything at least once in my life. I enjoy being fit, and I work out 3 to 4 times a week.
I like cooking. I like eating. I am also a bit of a Star Trek fan - but I've only gone to one convention, so I am practically normal. I usually brake for anything related to geeky topics such as quatum theory, space, or anything else that is way way beyond my intellectual capabilities. Also, I find comfort in silence - I thought to mention this because it seems that this quality is a little different.
I am an only child from a single parent household, and I am generally pretty independent. However, something is missing, thus here I am.
I am looking for a stand-up man, who has a strong sense of self, and who too is looking for a partner to also be their best friend. I am also attracted to men who have some level of manliness (but not to caveman extremes).
I find it attractive when a man is a do-it-yourselfer; I love a pair of strong arms; and although money is a good thing and it is convienent spend it to make something work, time and effort mean more to me. Does this make sense? Also, I am looking for someone who is aware of the world around them, who enjoys current events and is always looking to further their knowledge.
