I returned home to attend Auburn University where I met my husband of 25 years. We both wanted children and had them early. I loved being a mom and still do. My son is 27 and my daughter is 23.
Marriage was a good experience. My ex-husband was a good partner for our three major life projects; parenthood, developing our own business and the renovation of a beautiful 110 year old Victorian home. Unfortunately we forgot about us and did not put the same sort of effort into our marriage that we did everything else. We grew apart. No regrets.
I'm looking for someone with an open mind, that still wants to learn, explore and experience new areas in all facets of their life. I love to travel but it doesn't have to always be far away. Dinner at an ethnic restaurant can be like a quick overseas trip. Sleeping on a beach or camping in the mountains can feel like your somewhere exotic. It all depends on your mind set. I love weekend road trips but I have to know that I will have some grand adventures in the future.
I haven't met the person I'll share the next part of my life with but I've enjoyed meeting people along the way.
